Roslyn's POV

I woke up and had a shower getting ready for the day. It'd been nearly a month since we opened the tomb. Bonnie's grams died shortly after and has been dodging mine & Elena's calls. I don't blame her, we convinced them to help us open the tomb. If it wasn't for us, her Grams would still be alive.

Anyway I've been helping mum research Elena's adoption. I still can't believe she's not my blood relative. But no matter what she'll always be my cousin. I go downstairs to see mum outside with Elena and our research on the table.

Just then mum comes inside with Elena and sits down in front of her laptop. "Your dad kept everything from his medical practice—records, logs, old appointment book" mum explains. I grab the logbook I'd found and show it to Elena.

"I found an entry from the night you were born. Patient and a birth date. Isobel Peterson" I tell her.

"Think it's her real name?" she asks us.

"Pregnant teenage runaway? Probably not. First name, maybe. But where'd she get Peterson? Classmate? Best friend?" I tell her.

"So I binged it" Mum adds showing us her laptop. "I searched for all the Petersons in this area born the same year as Isobel, found 3--2 men and a woman, Trudie, who lived in Grove Hill, Virginia" she explains.

"That's not far from here" Elena states.

"Well watch this" I tell her smiling and nod to mum. Jenna types something else into the search engine and pulls up an image of Isobel from high school.

"Isobel, she was a cheerleader" Elena says smiling.

"Just like you were" I tell her smiling also.

"Trudie still lives there, this is her address" mum says handing Elena a posted note.

"What about Isobel?" Elena asks us.

"We couldn't find anything about her" I tell her sadly. Elena looks disheartened and I place a hand on her's in comfort.

"Listen. There's something else. Mr. Saltzman, Ric, his wife was from around here, and her name was also Isobel" Mum explains and I look at her surprised.

"Wait, 'was' as in?" Elena asks.

"She died" mum answers.

"What happened to her?" I ask.

"She was killed, but the case was never solved" she states.

"I'm sorry Elena" I say.

"We don't know if she's my mother" she reminds me. "I need to go put my clothes away" she says and leaves.

"Mum, lets save that photo of Isobel and ask Mr Saltzman. He can tell us if Elena's mum and his dead wife are the same person" I tell her. She agrees and I take a photo of the high school photo on the laptop screen. We then leave the house and head for the grill where we knew Alaric would be. As he is one of the bachelors being raffled off for the fundraiser.

"I don't know. It's just weird, you know, me being raffled off like a Disney Cruise" Alaric says as mum helps him hang the banner.

"In this town, fundraising is like indentured servitude" I tell him smirking.

"You don't have a choice. Besides, you're a bachelor, and you're eligible, so there you go" mum explains. She's having trouble tying her end of the banner and he goes to help her. Once he did he kissed her and I smile, happy my mum has found someone. "Oh, god. I can't believe I'm gonna do this" mum says after they pull away.
