S01E22: Founder's Day

Roslyn's POV

Elena and I are walking through the high school. Today is founder's day and Elena is dressed in 1860s attire. She looks beautiful, but I like her in normal clothes better. "Hey I see Caroline, Bonnie and Matt. Good luck on the float" I say giving her a hug.

"Thank you for the help this morning and have fun" she tells me.

"I will" I tell her and run over to the others. "Bonnie I'll take the photo, get in it with Matt and Caroline" I instruct. She agrees handing me the camera. "Say cheese" I tell the trio.

"Oh wait! Hide your cast, it's not era-appropriate" Caroline tells Matt.

"Seriously?" he asks her.

"Yes" she states.

"Okay fine" he says swapping sides so that it's hidden. They all smile and I the photo.

"I want one with Roslyn and Bonnie now" Caroline announces as Tyler appears.

"Here I can take it" he says smiling.

"I'll be on the float" Matt says leaving.

"I said I was sorry!" Tyler shouts.

"You made out with his mother and then you beat him to a pulp. You're gonna have to do a little bit better than sorry" I tell him. "But he'll come around" I assure him as Caroline follows Matt and Bonnie leaves to go find a good spot. "Now shouldn't you be getting to your float?" I ask.

"Yeah, see you tonight?" he asks me.

"Wouldn't miss it" I tell him smiling. He leaves and I go find Bonnie. I do and stand beside her as the pageant starts. Carol Lockwood is on a podium announcing each float or group.

"Let's give a big hand to the Mystic Fall's high school Marching Band" she tells us. We all applaud as the band performs. "And for a little local history, Mr. Saltzman's students have recreated Virginia's Battle of Willow Creek" she announces. I wave to Tyler and Jeremy as the float passes. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our stunning Miss Mystic Falls Court and their handsome escorts. This is Caroline Forbes, Miss Mystic Falls. Aren't they beautiful?" she asks.

Bonnie and I smile waving at Elena & Caroline. Who wave back at us until Damon steps in front of us. He waves at Elena who rolls her eyes and waves to the rest of the crowd. Damon then turns to look at Bonnie and I. "What do you want?" Bonnie asks him.

"Just watching the parade" he states. Bonnie and I go to leave. "Where are you going?" he asks.

"Away from you, this is our day off" I state.

"I want to say something to you Bonnie" he tells her.

"Just leave me alone!" she exclaims and he appears in front of her.

"Thank you. The device that Emily spelled could have killed me. I don't take what you did lightly so...thank you" he tells her.

"I did it for Elena" she reminds him.

"I know that, but I'm still very grateful. And...I owe you" he tells her. "Enjoy the parade" he tells us before leaving. Bonnie and I enjoy the rest of the parade. I leave and find Tyler whose changed back into his normal clothes.

"Hey, enjoy the show?" he asks me smirking.

"Yes, you were very convincing" I say smiling. "Pool at the grill?" I ask and he nods his head. "Last one there has to buy the drinks" I state and run towards the grill.

"Hey, you had a head start!" he shouts as I hear him run after me. I laugh and we're soon neck & neck. But I win and go set up the table as he gets us our drinks. He rejoins me and I let him break. I see Caroline and Matt are here also.
