“Para sa’n ba ‘tong interview na ‘to?”

“Ahh we were assigned to interview the artists behind the Romanticism technique. I am Nicolai Silvester, junior reporter of our club!”

I looked in the other direction as Nicolai continued to talk to Ms. Gallego, one of the painters of Romanticism type. Ito ang naisip niyang paraan para makagather ng clues sa posibleng suspect ng Lamperouge murder case. Sabi sa profile ni Chanty Love Gallego, she’s a 3rd year fine arts student. Wala siyang kapatid at patay na ang mga magulang niya. Wala siyang mga malapit na kamag-anak para matukoy kung totoo ang identity niya.

I guess I need to use my system again to confirm their identities. Kinuha ko yung laptop ko sa table at nagsimulang i-run yung program. Let’s see…

Identity confirmed.

Woahh! How could this be? I let out a devilish grin. Jeez… it’s getting me excited!

“So what is the story behind The Angel’s Smile?” rinig kong unang tanong ni Nico dito.

“My mom. She is my angel. Siguro nagtataka ka kung bakit parang hindi malungkot yung painting ko despite me, being an orphan? That’s because I love my mom. And she’s always telling me before that no matter what happens, I should always be positive in life.”

“I know your mom’s so proud of you now, kung nasa’n man siya,” Nico commented.

“Haha yun din ang pakiramdam ko.. I know she loves what I’m doing.”

She’s too positive… to kill someone…

Pero what if they are all lies? Being too positive outside as a camouflage while all the negatives are building inside? Hmm…

Next naman ay si Euridice Diasnes.

“So what is the story behind Tears of heaven?” tanong ulit ni Nico.

“My painting? Ahh… well… it’s about my past.”

“Past?”

I can sense hesitation from her.

“I lost my father when I was a child and it was because of me. It was too painful when I got to know the truth.”

According to her profile, she lost her father when she was 6 because of some fire accident while her mother is just a plain housewife. She has a sister named Cristal.

I looked in her eyes. All I can see is… sadness. But she’s still not excused.

The last one is Avril Villegas, a 4th year fine arts student.

“Why is your painting named Bloody Encounter?”

“Because I hate all of them.” Saglit kaming natigilan sa sagot nito.

“All of them? W-Who are you referring to?”

“The people that surrounds me.”

I looked in her eyes. It was…

“So you hate everyone around you?” I asked.

“No,” she paused. “I hate those people who left me alone. I hate all of them. They were the ones I included on my canvass. I wish to see them like that, bathe with their own blood.”
