"So how is it?," tanong ni Nickan habang nakatingin sa screen ng PC ko. Nasa study room kami ng bahay namin ngayon at kasalukuyang sinisimulan ang pag-iimbestiga sa identity ng kung sinumang Moriarty na 'yun. He managed to get my number and my schedule for the day so I guess he knows how to make a decent plan.
Isa pa, yung ginawa niyang paghamon sa'kin, hindi ko yun pwedeng basta balewalain. He used a smoke screen just to introduce himself on me huh? I guess he's really not an ordinary guy.
"Nag-gather ako ng information sa M.I and it looks like Moriarty's deeds are indeed smooth and flawless. Walang naiiwang ebidensya sa mga sinisira niyang kompanya," I told her at saka ipinakita ang monitor kung saan naka-display ang ginawa kong data map. I clicked a key at saka nagpop-out ang database ng M.I kung saan naka-highlight ang mga kasong related sa kanya.
"Ohh... a cyber genius huh?" tumatangu-tango pang sabi nito habang iniiscan isa-isa ang mga files.
"Ang pinagtataka ko lang, pa'no niya nalaman ang tungkol sa'kin?"
"Hmm... baka kasi kilala ka niya personally?"
Napatingin ako sa kanya at saka napaisip.
"Naisip ko na rin ang probability na baka isa siyang M.I agent but I just threw away that idea nang matapos ko ito," I clicked a key at saka ko ipinakita sa kanya yung ginawa kong pagmark sa mga software companies na biglaang nagshutdown for the past two years sa World map.
"As you can see, 2 years ago nang magsimula ang pagiging threat niya sa intelligence community. It started here," I zoomed the map and pointed at a certain point. "...sa Europe. After 6 months, dito naman, then here at ngayong taon, dito sa Asia. Ang last company na sinira niya ay yung International RL Technologies sa Singapore."
"Ohh... so natrace mo lahat ng actions niya? How'd you do that?"
"Tss... it's not like he's the only cyber genius here," I told her at saka inabot ang nakapatong na cup of chocolatte sa mesa.
I saw her smiled at me.
"So... pa'no mo naman nasabi na hindi siya M.I. agent dahil dyan?" napangiti ako. It looks like she was challenging me to speak up my mind.
"Instinct," maiksi kong sagot.
"Ayy! 'Yan na naman yang instincts na yan eh! Yan sinasabi mo 'pag ayaw mong ishare eh!" nakasimangot niya pang sabi. Tinawanan ko lang siya at saka inisang-lagok ang laman ng hawak kong tasa.
"INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!"
Agad kaming napatingin ni Nickan sa PC ko nang sunod-sunod na nagpop-out ang warning message.
"Sh*t!" Bulong ko. Hinawakan ko kaagad yung keyboard at nagsimulang magpipindot ng keys.
"ACCESS DENIED!" The A.I said.
Argh! Magaling ka ahh! Let's see kung anong gagawin mo dito...
I typed some codes that will eventually put on another firewall and set up a program that will delete everything that came from an unidentified external system.
"Hey Euclid! That's too risky!"
"Nah... I can handle this..." I just told her confidently at saka ipinagpatuloy ang ginagawa ko. I clicked the last key at saka ito nagload. Ilang saglit pa at lumabas na ang resulta nito.
"ACCESS CONFIRMED! INTRUDER IS NO LONGER IN THE SYSTEM!"
I heard her let out a sigh of relief. I just smirked at her at saka napasandal sa inuupuan ko.
"See? No one will ever beat me here!"
"Psh! Ikaw na! Kinabahan ako dun ah! Kung nagkamali ka kaya pwede niyang makopya lahat ng files ng M.I na nasa hard drive mo!"
"Tss... as if I'd let that happen! Pero just to make sure, I'll upgrade my security system..."
I leaned forward at saka sinimulan ang pag-aupgrade ng security system. Now, no one can penetrate the firewalls I've made.
Saglit pa akong napakurap nang marinig ang tunog ng cellphone ko.
"Ako na sasagot!" Kinuha ni Nickan yung cellphone ko na nasa ibabaw ng table at saka inilapit sa'kin.
"I-loudspeaker mo na lang," sabi ko habang nakaharap pa rin sa PC.
"Okay!" Pinindot niya na yung button.
"You really exceeds my expectation as a playmate Euclid. This time, it's your win. But remember this, next time.. it'll be a real fight between us. And I'll make sure that it'll be your loss. Definitely, your loss..."
I smirked. My loss? As if. I maximized the tab that monitors the location of the in and out-calls from my phone. A transceiver app with GPS.
"How's that?" She asked.
"Perfect. Moriarty's in the Elite's Academy, just as I thought," I said while looking at the signal transmitted by the phone I just got the call from.
Tumayo kami ni Nickan at agad na umalis papuntang school. Ginamit na lang namin yung motorbike niya para mas mabilis.
Saturday ngayon at kung tama ang pagkakaalala ko, ang mga may klase lang 'pag ganitong araw ay mga computer-related course students.
According to the app, nanggagaling yung signal sa Building 3 kaya dun kami dumiretso. Pagkapark namin, umakyat na agad kami papuntang second floor. Mukhang kalalabas pa lang ng mga students.
"Try mo contact-in, baka magring!"
Sinunod ko naman yung sinabi niya at saka din-ial ang number. Nakarinig naman kami ng mahinang ring hindi kalayuan mula sa'min.
Sinundan namin kung san nanggagaling yung tunog at maya-maya, nakita na namin yung cellphone.
Sa may basurahan.
Hah! Nabasa niya mga kilos namin? Magaling!
Kinuha ito ni Nickan matapos niyang makapagsuot ng gloves.
"He's a genius too Euclid! He didn't even bother to leave any fingerprints here!" Natawa pang sabi niya sa'kin. I bet she's enjoying this.
"Hah! He's tough huh? That's good..."
I can't help but to smile with excitement.
