chapter 16

I opened the door , tom stood there staring at me for few minutes  when I invited him to join me ...us inside..  He was not wearing what he usually do and looked devastated. His cool gentlemen breeze was missing .

"Hey , I want to tell you something ." He muttered

"Yeah okay ,but will you please sit down first."I said and jason rose to offer him his place.

"Could you please just leave us alone for a moment ?"tom pointed towards jason and he stared me . It was really weird to ask for my boyfriend to leave the room , leaving me alone with a stupid I have kissed before...though he didn't know.

I nodded and Jason left as tom started speaking.

"No I don't want to sit . I mean I am not here to sit.  I just wanted you to tell leslie that I am sorry . I cannot even look at her after what  happened . Tell her I am so so sorry to leave her that  night.  Please tell her I love her . But don't expect her to give me another chance . I ruined her . I am so sorry . It's all my fault . I am so sorry . " tom was sobbing now and I am really worried. What must have happened of which he is so guilty of?.

"But , would you please tell me what happened ?" I begged." Leslie seemed to be fine when I talked to her yesterday . What  must have had happened in these 24 hours ?"

"I can't.  You just ask her ..."he fumbled and ran .

I followed him in the hallway but lost him near the stairs .

"Anything serious? Who's he anyways. "Jason asked me raising his brow.
"He is leslie's boyfriend.  Leslie is my bestfriend."I told him thinking about how less he knows about me and I  about him."I don't know what he did know . Since the day he has met her he has been a  pain in the ass . I don't know what he did this time . But I really want to . He said that he is really sorry about what he did last night and something like that . "

"So what are you planning to do now . "He asked me calmly making me a bit relaxed .

"I don't know  maybe making a visit to my hometown would be the only wayout . "

"Atleast consider calling your friend once before flying there.  "He suggested .

"What do you think I am doing right now ? "I said pointing towards my phone.

"Okay.. sorry " .

"I am sorry ..its just situation talking . Could you please just leave me alone for some time.  I really need to gather up my things. "I requested .

"Or I could help??"he smirked

"Do you think it's a joke ? "I questioned and he left .

I have been trying to call leslie for almost an hour now and she has not answered even one of them ....same goes for my mom . I don't know where is she . Is she okay ?  I am frustrated . I  am gonna leave for washington right now .

As soon as I reach the airport , my phone flashed and its leslie.

"What happened "she blurted .

"You know , you shouldn't be asking this question.  Tom was here . What happened last night ? Are you okay ?."

She started crying on the phone as I asked her repeatedly about what's happening.

"I will tell you everything once  I am there I am leaving soon and will be there by noon . So please stop freaking out and calm down . And what did you said about tom . Is he there . Can I please talk to him ?"she cried a bit more .

"No, he left  almost an hour ago."

"Would you like to tell me  anything right now . "I asked her patiently. 

" no and please don't force me . And if its fine I am gonna take a leave now . "

I agreed and she disconnected the call.

After reaching back , it was already too late to sleep now as I have to leave for classes in less than an hour . I tried to read something from my notes and dressed up simultaneously for my day .
It will be one hell of a day , I sighed and headed toward the university.

I picked up an iced caramel macchiato ,on my way, I hope this helps me to fight my sleep deprived tiresome eyes .

Ms lily always tend to take up the most boring topic when I am not in a mood to study . I was not listening at all to all the shit she was lecturing about and were enacting of jotting down the points when she asked me

"Ms eva , would you please like to enlighten the class with your views on judicial system ."OH SHIT

"The judicial system is a federal system with a central government and individual governments for each of the fifty states.  "I was ready to continue when stopped by ms lily .

"Good , sit down ." Thank God,  I am studying regularly .

It was a really boring class and there were three more of them.

Day has been pretty boring and I have not seen jason , not recieved any call by leslie . I don't even if she is coming or not .

"Hi "I kissed jason as soon a I reached my room .

"Where were you all day ?why didn't you attended the classes ?"

"Uhm...today I just thought I will pass .  They all are really  boring . Anyways how was your day?"he asked  and we chatted all day .

It was a good day , but nothing as I expected . I didn't recieved any update from leslie , I had a really good time with jason .
