    "You lied, hyung."

    "I know, Soonyoung."

Soonyoung sighs, falling silent as they walk home.

Jimin looks over at his friend, wondering why he cared if he lied or not.

"What's wrong, Hoshi?" He asks, putting his arm around him.

"You promised not to lie." The younger mumbles, kicking at the ground.

"Hey," Jimin says, stopping and facing him. "I promised I wouldn't lie to you, I didn't. And I won't. Okay?"

Soonyoung looks up at him with wet eyes, his face flushed with emotion. "I'm sorry, h-hyung."

"No. No, don't be. I'm sorry, okay?" The older says, pulling the younger into a hug. "I love you, Hoshi. I wouldn't lie to you, ever."

Soonyoung hugs him back, tears falling down his face. "I-I love you too."

Jimin pulls away from the hug, catching Soonyoung's tears with his thumbs as he wipes the younger's face. "What can I do to make it better?"

"Hold m-my h-hand." The younger says, holding his sweater paw out.

Jimin takes his hand with a smile. "Wanna go dance?"

"Yeah." Soonyoung nods, smiling softly as he wipes his eyes.

"Okay. I'll bring the camera and we can record last week's finished product." The older says, swinging their arms between them.

Soonyoung nods, smiling at the thought but staying silent.

Jimin chuckles, falling silent as well.

He knows that the younger is still deep in thought, probably convincing himself that Jimin wasn't a liar.

Jimin knew how sensitive Soonyoung was about certain topics, especially lying.

So much of Soonyoung's past had been corrupted by lies, Jimin knew better than to lie around him but he needed an excuse to get away from Yoongi.

He couldn't be there, not in that apartment, not with all the history that was made there.

"Y-Yoongi...you s-said you were with-with him for a l-long time." Soonyoung says. "Y-You said you loved him, b-but, if y-you love him why did you l-lie?"

"It's complicated, Soonie." Jimin says, choosing his words carefully. "I did love him, for a long time. But it's different down."

"You d-don't love him?" The younger asks.

"I do." The older admits, trying to keep his promise and not lie. "I just didn't want to get hurt, so I lied."

"Okay." Soonyoung says, nodding slowly as if he's trying to understand. "But what if he l-loves you too?"

"He doesn't." Jimin laughs, the words hurting more than they should. "He's with someone new now."

"New?" The younger frowns. "B-But he looks at you like he still~"

"He doesn't, Soonyoung. Drop it, okay?" The older says, trying to stay patient but end the conversation.

"He loves you, hyung." Soonyoung sighs, smiling before falling silent.

Jimin shakes his head but drops the conversation.

It wasn't true.

Yoongi had someone new now, someone that loved him and Jimin wanted them to be happy together.

He wanted Yoongi to be happy.

He did.

——

It was another one of those nights.

One of those nights where Hoseok tried convincing Yoongi to give up his apartment.

Even though it had been a while since Hoseok had brought it up it was still the same old argument.

"I'm not doing this, Hoseok." Yoongi says, shaking his head as he continues to load the dishwasher.

"I don't want to argue I'm just asking if you've thought about it." Hoseok says, leaning against the counter next to him.

"Yeah. I have and I still don't want to." The older says, keeping his eyes focused on what he's doing.

"Yoongi~"

"I'm done, Hobi." Yoongi says, trying to end the conversation.

"I'm not, Yoongi. You said you'd think about it if I gave you time." Hoseok argues, despite his early statement.

"Why does it matter, Hoseok? I'm here most of the time, I'm here all the time actually. So what if I still pay the rent there." The older says, loading the last plate before shutting the washer.

"It matters to me, Yoongi. I don't like~"

"Why does it matter?" Yoongi asks again deliberately as he looks at the other. "I already told you that I'm not doing it."

"Give me a reason." Hoseok shrugs, waiting for an answer.

"I don't need a reason. I already said what I had to say." The older says, walking out of the kitchen.

Hoseok follows him grabbing him by the arm and turning him around. "Does it have something to do with those letters you keep in your drawer."

Yoongi snatches his arm away. "Why are you going through my stuff!?"

"I have every right to!" Hoseok yells back. "You're keeping things from me, do you expect me to be alright with that?"

"It was none of your business! If I wanted you to know I'd tell you!" Yoongi yells. "You had no right at all to fucking do that!"

"I'm your boyfriend, Yoongi! Don't you think I'd want to know if you were still in contact with your ex?" Hoseok snaps.

"You know why, Hoseok! You know why!" The older says, storming to the bedroom.

He goes to his drawer and grabs the letters, grabbing his backpack from beside the closet and placing them inside carefully.

He throws his bag over his shoulder as he leaves the room.

"What are you doing?" Hoseok asks from the living room.

"You obviously need some time to calm down so I'll see you tomorrow." Yoongi says, stepping into his shoes by the door.

"You can't do this, Yoongi. You can't be mad at me." The younger says. "Do you still love him? Because if you do~"

"No, Hoseok. I don't." Yoongi says. "I tell you that all the time."

"I don't believe you, Yoongi." Hoseok sighs, his tone more hurt than anything. "I don't believe you."

Yoongi sighs, leaning against the wall by the door. "What do you want me to do?"

"What do you want me to do?" Hoseok says back, stressing his words. "I love you, Yoongi. Do you know how hard it is for me to see how much you still love him?"

"I told you already that I didn't." The older says. "I love you. If you don't believe me there's nothing I can do."

"Yeah, you should go." Hoseok sighs, walking to the bedroom, leaving Yoongi alone.

The older sighs, opening the door and walking out of the apartment.

He couldn't help that he still had love in his heart for Jimin, he did.

But he loved Hoseok too.

Was he wrong for that?

Was it wrong to love them both?
