It was one fine morning in the courtyard of the Demon Slayer Headquarters.

Birds were chirping, enjoying the cool breeze. Trees and bushes were dancing with the rhythm of the wind. Dewdrops were falling from the leaves of the plants. The fishes were swimming tranquilly in the fish pond and the golden sun shone, greeting every living creature.

It was a pleasant day to do something productive.

A smile formed my lips as I took a seat in the open balcony, enjoying the view.

If only you were still here... Onee-san.

I was in the middle of cleaning my nichirin blade when a familiar voice came, greeting me.

"Ohayo, Kocho-san!" She beamed.

She had long, pale pink hair that fades into a neon green color, which she wears in three thick braids with shorter clumps hanging over her face as bangs. Both of her eyes were green and in addition to that, she had moles on beneath each of them.

It was none other than the Love Pillar, Kanroji Mitsuri.

"Ohayo, Kanroji-san." I greeted her with a smile on my face. "You look lovely as ever."

She smiled cheerfully, "Arigat-"

"I bet Iguro would go head over heels with you this time." I teased her as she stared at me with wide eyes. Her skin started to have the same shade of pink with her hair.

"N-Nani?" She stuttered putting her hands on both of her cheeks. "Iguro-kun and I don't have that kind of relationship!"

"Oh? so you're not yet a couple." I continued to wipe my nichirin blade with a clean cloth before putting it away.

"Y-Y-Yet?" She became flustered all of a sudden. All I could do was laugh mentally.

"Well, what's the reason you greeted me? Is Oyakata-sama looking for me?" I asked her.

"N-No, it's nothing." She smiled while fidgetting with her braids. "I just thought maybe we could get along with each other since we're the only women pillars, right?"

We're the only woman pillars.

We're the only woman pillars.

We're the only woman pillars.

I felt a little twinge in my heart after hearing those statements.

Instead of making a fuss over it, I gave her an assuring smile, "You're right, Kanroji-san."

"Eh? I guess we should start by removing the formalities." She held out her index finger as she took a seat beside me. I could see her eyes twinkling with excitement.

"Well then, Mitsuri-san." I stood up and dusted my uniform and haori. "I guess I'll be taking my leave."

"Nani? It's not like you're busy or someth-" Mitsuri stopped in the middle of her sentence. Her gaze was fixed somewhere. "Hey, isn't that Tomioka-san?" She beamed. "He looks cool standing there!"

"Tomioka Giyu? The guy with a mismatched haori?" I followed where Mitsuri was staring at. "He just came back from a mission?"

Looking at the male, he looks like he just arrived a minute or two.

Just as Mitsuri was about to speak again, we were both startled by Ubuyashiki Kagaya, the master of the mansion and whom we address as Oyakata-sama. He was both guided by two of his children.

The other pillars arrived in the courtyard as well.

"Ohayo, Oyakata-sama." Mitsuri and I instinctly bowed along with the other pillars.

"How did the mission go, Giyu?" Oyakata-sama asked him.

"I apologize for being a minute late. A whole family who lived on top of a mountain was slaughtered. Forgive me, Oyakata-sama." He replied shortly.

That was a bland explanation.

"Very well." Oyakata-sama nodded. "All pillars, listen well."

"I have an appointment to make with someone important. Sending crows wouldn't be a nice option, so I'll be having them as my guests instead. Therefore, the headquarters will be out-of-order for you, pillars. I will not allow anyone to be staying here." He continued casually.

"Shinobu-san." He called out my name.

"Hai, Oyakata-sama?" I attentively replied.

"Would you mind letting all pillars stay at the Butterfly Estate for the meantime?"

I shaked my head, "I don't mind at all, Oyakata-sama."

"Then it's settled." He closed the meeting and went back inside the mansion along with his children, leaving us, pillars in the courtyard.

"Well then, let's go." I turned to look at my fellow pillars.

To the Butterfly Estate!
