"I really have the urge to beat her up"

Lisa felt her headache rise, as she heard one of her unnies complain - most likely about her. Not even her soft mattress could give her the comfort she needed, if she was to open her eyes. The taste of alcohol slightly surprised her, did she have a drink with her unnies yesterday?

"Don't try to act, I know you're awake", Jennie said and practically ripped the blanket off of her body, which led Lisa to open her eyes, groaning. Immediately, her eyes started hurting and she started regretting opening them in the first place.

Obviously, it was early in the morning and judging by Lisa's sight after properly opening her eyes, all three of her friends were present. The three of them scanned her facial expressions and, to Lisa's dismay, looked like they weren't going to leave her room instantly. It was actually quite the opposite, they eyed her like there was something she had to explain. Lisa, however, couldn't think of something, that was possibly worth mentioning.

"Lisa, you owe us an explanation", Jisoo started and didn't sound as playful as she did normally. Although living together for a long time, she still wasn't exactly used to that side of Jisoo. She had the ability to appear a lot more intimidating, when there happened to be a situation, that pressured her to act like the oldest. Lisa appreciated her effort to be an older sister to the three of them, but didn't understand the strict tone her voice held, this time.

"What do you mean?", she asked confused, looking over to Jennie and Chaeyoung, hoping they would answer her question.

"You suddenly ran off on your own yesterday, without telling us the reason, Lisa", Chaeyoung spoke with a voice filled with worry, before deciding to have a seat on Lisa's bed. Chaeyoung put her hand on Lisa's back and brushed over it, affectionately. "... we were so worried and you didn't take any of our calls!"

Wait, what?

What happened yesterday?

What could've possibly stopped her from contacting them?

Oh.

That happened.

As if it started raining, all of a sudden, Lisa's face darkened and a gloomy aura surrounded her. She knew she couldn't sit out this argument, especially with Jisoo being this demanding for answers, and beside that - she really did owe them an explanation. Not a half hearted one, but an explanation, that would be able to reason all of her mimics and gestures of the passed time. Lisa really wanted to tell them about all of it, all the things her heart has been through for the past years, as they had no idea about her longing for her first love again. Back then, before they debuted, she assured them that she was alright with the break up and, that she moved on, since achieving their dream was a lot bigger than a past love. Thinking back, she realized how big of a liar she had been the whole time, for bottling up everything and just nodding through the progress of a heartbreak.

Lisa wasn't afraid to open up again, regarding her relationship with Hanbin, the only thing she was afraid, and annoyed, of was crying. As if it was heavens will, anything related to him would have the potential to make her tears build up and she didn't like feeling that weak. Things that started and ended in the past, should remain in the past.

But then again, did it really end back then?

Judging by yesterday's event, they weren't even close to an end. Rather than that, heavens always seemed to refer to the opposite. Her teenager self would've been happy to witness the odds connecting them, but the person Lisa became was strictly against it.

She didn't fall out of love or anything that way, but there was a limit to every love story and it was simple enough for everyone to understand. It was self respect.

Her grandmother always used to tell her, that every love was bound to end, if mainly pain was involved. Lisa didn't want to discredit Hanbin, since he wasn't a bad boyfriend, before suddenly acting selfish - but the feelings he had put her through were enough. The fact, that after all this time, she was still hurt, spoke louder than anything else.

"I was at the hospital to visit Hanbin", Lisa started and sighed right after that. She bit her lip, deeply regretting the choices she made yesterday. "I know I always told you that I'm fine and stuff, but... I don't think I am."

With that said, tears slowly build up and rolled down her cheek. She told them everything about her feelings and although, her crying didn't stop at that, Lisa felt glad. Her problems weren't solved, but talking with her dearest friends about it, seemed to be a lot more relaxing than she imagined. They were listening to hear, sympathising with her through the eyes and all ended up hugging her near the end.

"It's a good thing, we managed to cover you, despite not knowing, where you went off to", Jennie sighed, glad that they made the decision to help Lisa, without further asking. "but you better inform us next time- I mean, if there is going to be a next time"

Lisa knew the three of them still had a question mark above their head, regarding that issue. Talking about her feelings and what happened yesterday at the hospital, left one question open.

"Regarding that... what will you do about it?", Jisoo asked carefully and aware of the impact, that question held. She knew Lisa's first love was dear to her and starting to insult Hanbin or interfering too much, would hurt Lisa even more.

"I guess I will avoid him, like I managed to do before", Lisa answered and shrugged. Being honest, she didn't know what to do herself. Every time she tried to avoid him, he appeared out of nowhere and it slowly left the impression, that heavens were trying to tell her something.

"Not trying to force my opinion on you, but isn't it time to write the end of this chapter?", Chaeyoung asked and probably questioned herself for being so bold, all of the sudden. There was no regret, however, since she didn't mention anything wrong. "... as in a clear end, I mean."

Lisa didn't have to look at her unnies' faces to see, that they agreed with Chaeyoung. Honestly speaking, she also agreed with her - there had to be an end to everything. She also acknowledged, that she had to talk about this matter with him in order to set an end.

"I will... have to think all of this through, but thank you for being by my side", it was true, that she hadn't made up her mind about the whole thing, but she was still thankful, for it wasn't natural for any human being to be this understanding. The three of them really tried their best to understand her all the time. "That aside, when and how did I arrive home? And why does the alcohol taste not leave my mouth?"

She heard Jennie snicker beside her.

"Seems like you had a couple of drinks yesterday, but don't worry, Chaeyoung's sister happened to pass by and fetched you, before anything bad could've possibly happened", Jennie explained and looked at the other two.

Lisa mentally slapped herself for being this irresponsible, but then again - yesterday was a tough day and she probably couldn't handle it anymore.

"I'm sorry, ugh... I will never do something that stupid again", she apologized and hid her face behind her hands.

"Oh, there's no doubt you wouldn't want to do that again", Jisoo jokingly mentioned and eyed the other two, while Lisa wasn't looking at them.

And although, Jennie's words seemed convincing, Lisa felt like there was a left out puzzle piece.

^*^*^*^*^*^

I'm quite active on writing this story, aren't you proud of author-nim? *blink blink*

Can't help it, I somehow feel motivated to continue this book with as much energy as I can.

I know some of you might've already given up on the possibility of this book being a liskook one lol... but let me remind you, that liskook is still the center of this story!^^

I'm just a sucker for slow burn and, since this story involves a bad break up, the slow burn intensifies automatically... just bear with it for my sake lol

On that note, I would like to see more opinions and more action in the commentary, as I try my best to keep the story adventurous and entertaining. Please don't be shy to leave several reactions, I sincerely love reading comments~ (even those made on other books)
