Third person POV

Sebastian followed Ciel to his study and closed the door. They were both a but surprised at how clean it was after Ciel got kidnapped. Ciel sat down and Sebastian went to clean his face.

"What did she mean by 'until it happens again?'" Ciel asked . "Do you think she meant me getting kidnapped?" He asked looking down at his butler.

"I cannot say my young master. Would you like me to find out?" He asked getting the blood off his face.

"Yes." Ciel said.

"Very well, young master." Sebastian said putting his hand over his chest.

(Time skip to dinner bc I'm writing this in class)

Aviva POV

Sebastian called me in to serve the young master. I don't know why I got so nervous. I walked to the table carrying the tray and cover and place it in front of Ciel.

"My lord for dinner we have a grilled cheese sandwich accompanied with tomato soup." I said taking the cover off. I cut the sandwich in triangles, because all sandwiches taste better in triangle form, and placed them nicely on top of each other. Ciel gave me a look like 'the hell is this.'

"Trust me." I said smiling. He took a bite and for the first time, Ciel looked like a kid. His eyes lit up and he looked at me. "Now try the soup." I said tilting my head. I could tell by his face he was more than satisfied.

"They go so well together." He said quietly. I smiled widely. He ate pretty quickly. Sebastian just stared at me, like how the hell would I know he would like it.

"If you will excuse me young master I must go back to clean the kitchen." I said before leaving, a little pep in my step. I made it to the kitchen and saw Bard cleaning.

"Bard you go sit down, I'll get the rest." I said rolling up my sleeves.

"Are you sure? I mean it's my job to clean here too." He said looking up at me.

"Yeah! You sit down, get a drink or something. I got this." I said shooing him away from the sink. He hesitantly sat down. I was in a great mood. I was more than happy to clean the kitchen. I started on the counters and started humming Bird Song by Regina Spektor. (Play if you want, not too important to the story I just love this song)

As I cleaned the counters, cleaned the outsides of all the cabinets. After I finished the cabinets I went to do all the dishes. Sebastian walked in. "Hi Sebastian! Did the young master retire for the evening?" I asked looking up from the sink.

"Yes he has. Baldroy if you could leave, there is something I must discuss with Miss Aviva." He said looking at the chef. Bard nodded and made his way out. Sebastian closed the door behind him. That definitely made me uneasy.

"I-is something wrong Sebastian?" I asked drying my hands. He started walking towards me and was definitely intimidating. I backed up until I was stuck between a hard place and a butler. There were inches between us. I couldn't break eye contact I was too surprised. He was glaring at me.

"How did you know to check up on the young master?" He asked, looming over me. I was surprised by his question and didn't realise I was quiet for a bit. "Well?" He asked a little more forceful. I thought about how to phrase it.

"I'm not quite sure I should answer." I said trying not to show how nervous I was.

"And why is that, Miss Aviva?" He asked tilting his head slightly. I gulped.

"Because I know you're only asking because Ciel sent you after me to find out how I knew he was kidnapped." I said quickly. I was cracking. He gave me a devilish smirk.

"I'm afraid I must insist." He said moving his right hand to the counter next to me. I flinched when he moved it.

"I-I need to go i-into town." I stuttered. That was so embarrassing. I feel like I can't breathe. "After that I m-might be able to tell him." I said still not able to break eye contact.

"Might?" He said, his tone not changing.

"Because then I might have some answers for myself." I said trying to compose myself. He stood up straight and took a step back. I sighed and relaxed a bit.

"Then it is a good thing we are going into London soon." He said.

"We?" I asked, confused.

"In two days the young master will be going into town to pick up a new cane. You will be joining the master and I so you may be fitted for new uniforms. I will inform him you need to make a stop." He said before walking out without another word.

I felt out of breath. That certainly was....something. I quickly finished the dishes, grabbed some apples and carrots, then ran to the stables. I needed some air.

I made it to the stables and tried to relax from that...interaction. I went around to the horses giving them the apples and carrots. My last stop was the horse I rode yesterday.

"Hey boy." I said softly. I fed him an apple. "That Sebastian sure can be scary sometimes, huh? I mean I know the whole act was just get the information out of me but...still. Scary." I said petting him. I sighed. "What am I doing here?" I said. He neighed. "Not with you!" I said defensively. "I mean here! In this...world. I don't...I don't belong here, boy." I said sighing. He nudged my hand. "Alright, alright. Here" I said laughing, pulling out a carrot for him.

"I see you've made your way back to the stables." I jumped a mile and turned to see Sebastian.

"Sebastian! Jesus don't do that!" I said catching my breath. I definitely scared the horse because he jumped too and kicked the stable wall. I turned to the horse to pet and shush him to calm him down.

"I see he's taken a liking to you." He said walking towards you and the horse. He became restless when Sebastian stood next to me.

"Hey, hey. Shh." I said gently to the horse. I'm still talking to the horse. I must look crazy. Sebastian tried to pet the horse but he shuffled back and shook his head. Sebastian pulled his hand back.

"This one has never really...liked me." Sebastian said exchanging glances between me and the horse.

"You just need to be..." I said taking Sebastian's hand. "Patient and..." I said very slowly bringing to the horse. "Gentle." I said slowly bringing his hand to horses snout. I smiled brightly at Sebastian petting the horse.

Sebastian POV

It's like our conversation earlier never happened. She was definitely frightened, which I perfectly intended. She's so relaxed and happy now, not a care in the world. The tortured parts of her soul were buried deep; no sense of pride or rage or turmoil...at the moment at least. Either those parts were truly small....or she could just hide them that well.

She actually got me to pet the horse. She was so...gentle. With the horse and with me. Anyone after a conversation like that would be so wary of me. But she isn't. I don't understand. If she knows I'm a demon, why would act this way towards me?
