Aviva POV
I walked into the kitchen and saw Sebastian, with his coat off, washing dishes. I walked over to him and started drying. After a minute, Sebastian spoke up.
"Aren't you going to tell me where you went, Miss Aviva?" He asked not looking up.
"Oh, right! I was given the opportunity to retrieve my belongings." I said.
"You were taken home?" He said handing me things to dry.
"I wouldn't call it home anymore, but yes." I said taking the dishes. "Unrelated, but where is the game room?" I asked him.
"I'll take you there once we finish." He said looking down at me.
"Thanks." I said looking up at him. We worked in silence for a few more minutes. I don't know why but I felt this tension in the air. I didn't like it. I finished up the last dish and Sebastian put his coat back on. I washed my hands and Sebastian walked up to me.
"Shall we?" He asked looking down at her. I nodded and he lead me out of the kitchen.
I followed Sebastian but kept my eyes on the floor. Something feels wrong. I don't like it. I looked around the hallway and walked closer to Sebastian.
"Is everything alright, Miss Aviva?" He asked looking down at me.
"No. Something doesn't feel...right." I said looking up at him. I stopped walking and Sebastian turned to me. "I wonder if I..." I said.
I closed my eyes. Great. Another vision. But hey, at least I now know what they feel like. I tried to focus and immediately regretted it. I saw Grell's next victim. His last victim. It was horrific. Dammit, I wish I knew where in London this is going to be. I heard music. It was classical music. I felt like I was in the middle of an earthquake. Weird. I couldn't quite put my finger on what the music was, but it was definitely familiar. I snapped out of my vision to Sebastian shouting my name and his hands on my arms, shaking me.
"Huh?" I said opening my eyes. He looked really concerned.
"What happened? You just froze and went completely white." He said, visibly concerned.
"Oh, it was just another vision." I said casually.
"What did you see?" He asked.
"It was just Gr-Jack the Ripper!" I quickly stopped myself. Holy fuck that was close. "His next victim." I said. He let go of my arms.
"We believe we know who he is targeting next. The young master and I are stopping him tonight." He said. "If all possible I would prefer it if you stayed here tonight." He told me. Why? Does he want me out of harms way?
"I...Ciel asked me to be there. With you, by his side." I said. "I was going to the game room to arm myself." I said looking away. Sebastian sighed.
"Very well. Can you shoot?" He asked. I looked down and shook my head. "Then I suppose I should train you." He said smirking. Ok that made me nervous. "Come." He said before taking my hand. I blushed and he lead me to the game room. We walked in and he went to a dresser and pulled open a drawer. Sebastian turned to me.
"Come and pick one." He said. I walked over and in the drawer, there were a few different guns.
I stayed away from guns as long as I possibly could. I never thought in a million years that this would be how I'd learn to use one. From a demon butler in a fictional world, fighting a real serial killer. Well...serial killers. My hand gravitated to a revolver with a somewhat long barrel. I saw Sebastian smile.
"Enfield mark 2. Very good choice." He said pushing the drawer back in. He pulled out the one below it and pulled out some ammunition. My heart was racing. "Let's go outside. I'll teach you how to shoot." He said closing the drawer.
I double-checked the cylinder was empty then put it in my pocket. I took a deep breath and followed Sebastian outside. He took me by the side of the townhouse and told me to stay put and wait for him. I pulled out the gun and started examining it. I wasn't too thrilled about handling a gun. But I have a job to do now. I have people to protect. I looked up and saw Sebastian carrying out hay bales. I keep forgetting how strong he is. He set up 6 hay bales in sets of two, stacked on each other. He went back inside and I sat down on the ground. I didn't know how much longer it would take, so I might as well get comfy. Sebastian walked out with what looked like bedsheets and cans of...paint? He placed a sheet over each stack of hay bales. Is he making-? He's painting the sheets. Yeah, he's making me targets. It's really nice of him to train me. Well...I guess it's part of his job too. I hope it isn't putting him out too much. He never had to do this with Mey-rin, or Finny, or Bard. They were hired because of their abilities. I just...showed up. Why am I here? Everyone was chosen because of what they can do, their abilities. Funny's strength, Bard's history as a sergeant, and Mey-rin's eyesight. I literally just fell into their world and was given a job and a home. I guess that's why I feel like I have to prove myself.
