Aviva POV

"You're still the queen's guard dog which means that now I'm your prey." Madame Red said pulling out a short sword. I started running back to them. "But if it's hunt or be hunted, there's only one thing I can do!" She said charging for Ciel.

I jumped and pushed Ciel to the ground...taking the blow myself. I gasped and looked down to see her sword halfway in my torso, just under my right ribs.

"Aviva!" Ciel shouted.

The pain I was feeling was indescribable. I've never felt anything like it. She pulled the sword out and I cried out in anguish and fell to one knee. I grabbed my wound with my left hand and a knife with my right. I stabbed Madame Red in the thigh and she cried out.

"You stabbed me!" She shouted.

"You're a doctor." I said panting. "Deal with it." I said, starting to feel lightheaded.

"How could you do it?!" Ciel shouted to Madame Red.

"You wouldn't understand if I told you. You're just a child!" She shouted before grabbing Ciel by the throat and pushing him against the wall.

I grabbed my gun and shot her left arm. She screamed and pulled her hand away from Ciel's throat. She looked down at me and kicked me to the ground, making me drop my gun. I crawled on my stomach to try and reach my gun but Madame Red kicked off away. She went back to choking Ciel. I felt helpless watching him.

"You...you brat. You shouldn't have been born in the first place!" She cried raising her sword.

"Master!" Sebastian shouted and lunged to Madame Red.

"Stop Sebastian! Don't kill her!" Ciel cried before Sebastian could reach her. She dropped the sword and stepped back. I pushed myself onto my knees. "Your arm..." Ciel said looking at Sebastian. Madame Red covered her and and cried.

"Ooh, how sweet you are Bassy." Grell said struggling to free her scythe from the wall. Really what a prince; sacrificing your own limb to save that kid." She said pulling the chainsaw from the wall. "On the other hand, you're a disappointment Madame." She said walking to us. "Come now, hurry up and kill the brat already!" She said.

Madame Red lowered her hands and shook.

"I loved my sister, I loved her husband, I loved their child. I can't, I can't kill him. I can't kill their beloved son." She said.

"Really? You're getting soft on me all of sudden, after all those deaths? If you don't end him he'll end you." Grell said.

"Madame." Ciel said softly. Madame Red turned to Grell.

"But this dear boy. This child is my-" Madame Red said before Grell tore into her chest with her scythe.

"Too late for that! How disappointing!" Grell said throwing Madame Red back. "What use do I have for you if you're just another woman!" She shouted.

Mid fall, several reels of film came shooting out of Madame Red's wound. All with different scenes from her life. I pulled myself to the wall to lean against it.

"Is that her..." Sebastian said, his voice trailing off.

"Part of a reaper's job is to play and examine the memories of those who were on the to-die list. From that, we determine what kind of person they were. We see from their own perspective what kind of life they've lived and we decide whether they should live or die." Grell said.

"Their lives flash, right before their eyes." Sebastian said.

"Oh please, that's such a pedestrian term. It is so much more than that." Grell said.

"The cinematic record." I said, breathing heavily.

We all watched her cinematic record play. How she met Vincent and fell in love with him. How he made her like the colour red. How she lost her husband and unborn child. The fire that killed her sister and Vincent. And how she met Grell. It ended with her lunging at Ciel. Ciel stared at her lifeless body on the ground.

"How beautiful you were, dyed crimson and covered with your victims' blood. I loved you so. What a disappointment you turned out to be." Grell said before reaching down to her body. "You don't have what it takes to wear red." She said pulling Madame Red's coat off her body. "Your cheap little melodrama ends now." She said putting the coat on. "It's over now, Madame Red. Goodbye." She said before walking away.

Ciel leaned down and closed Madame Red's eyes.

"Well, what are you waiting for? I thought I ordered you to put an end to Jack the Ripper." Ciel said before turning to Sebastian. "It's not over yet. One is left. Stop standing there and kill him." He ordered. Sebastian smirked and glared at Grell.

"Certainly." Sebastian said.

"Oh, I was going to spare you. Professional curtesy and all that." Grell said turning around. "But if you insist. I'll send you and the boy to heaven together!" She cried swinging her chainsaw saw at Sebastian. Sebastian ducked.

"Heaven, your joking." He said before jumping high. He lingered in the air. "I know nothing of heaven." He said before going to kick Grell. He barely missed her and landed near Ciel and I.

"You would kick a lady in the face?! Where are your manners sir?" Grell said.

"Terribly sorry. You see I'm simply one hell of a butler." Sebastian said. I laughed weakly.

"Ha! You think a demon like you can beat a reaper?" Grell asked.

"Certainly. You see, if my master tells me to win, then I shall win." He said.

"You care a lot about that puny little brat, don't you? I'm jealous. Demon or not, you'll still be destroyed if I reap you with my death scythe. Aren't you frightened?" Grell asked.

"Not at all. I belong to my master; my soul and my body. Down to the last hair. The contract remains so I follow his every order. That's what it means to be a butler." Sebastian said.
