Aviva POV
After lunch, Ciel gave me an hour off. So, as I've been doing with my free time...time for Shakespeare! I went to my room to grab my book. Wait where the fuck is it? I looked around my nightstand. I swear it was right here. Wait I went to that room last night, didn't I? I must have dropped it.
I made my way over to the music room and opened the door. Shit! I accidentally interrupted Ciel's dance lesson!
"I'm so sorry, young master! I didn't know you had a lesson today." I started to close the door. Damn. I guess I'll get my book back later.
"Wait!" I heard. Wait that was Mrs. Bright.
"Yes, my lady?" I asked walking back in. Sebastian was here, of course with his violin. Not sure why since there was a record player here. But damn could he play, though.
"You, what's your name?" She asked. I got closer.
"Aviva, miss." I said giving a small curtesy.
"My new maid." Ciel said.
"Sebastian." She said turning to the butler.
"Yes, my lady?" He said turning to her.
"Dance with the maid." She said motioning to me.
"What?" Ciel and I said in unison. Sebastian smirked and made his way to me. He didn't even question it he was ready to go.
"I think it would be beneficial to the young lord if he first saw how dancing should look." She said. "You can dance, can't you?" She asked.
"I-I can follow well enough ma'am." I said, a bit nervous.
"Then shall we, my lady?" Sebastian said bowing to me, offering his hand. I blushed and reluctantly took his hand.
He led me to the middle of the room and Mrs. Bright set up the record player. Sebastian put his hand on the small of back pulled me closer to him. My entire face turned red. Why am I so nervous? It's just a simple waltz. Sebastian will lead, you just need to follow!
Mrs. Bright turned the record player on. She let the music play for a moment before counting us off. I started with my left foot going back since Sebastian's first step was with his right. After a few stumbles, I managed to figure the rest out. After a minute our moves became so natural and fluid. I could see Mrs. Bright smiling.
"I must say, Miss Faye," Sebastian said before spinning me out. I smiled brightly as I spun back into him. "I'm quite impressed." He said smiling. He was smiling at me. Not his usual fake demon butler smile. This seemed...genuine.
"What can I say? I had a great teacher." I said smiling back at him. Oh my god, that was so cheesy. I felt like I was floating. I wish I could tell what he was thinking. After a few minutes, our dance ended. I was a bit disappointed when it did. I heard Mrs. Bright clapping, but then I heard a few more hands clapping. I looked to the door and looks like Bard, Mey-rin, and Finny were watching. They were all clapping.
"Shouldn't you three be working?" Sebastian said letting of me, turning to the three. And just like that, they all scurried off.
"Marvellous! Just marvellous." Mrs. Bright said approaching us.
"I must say I agree." Sebastian said before taking my hand and kissing it. My face turned bright red.
Mrs. Bright thanked me and Ciel dismissed me. As I got to the door I realized why I came in here in the first place. I ran back to the chair I sat in and saw it on the floor. I quickly grabbed it and put it in my pocket. I ran out of the music room and went to get a duster. I might as well get some work in as I read.
I made my to the library and started dusting the shelves. Every few shelves, I would read a page or two. I absolutely loved this library. It's so quiet and peaceful. As I read and dusted the library, the day went by. I hadn't realized it, but I started reading out loud.
"'I pray thee, gentle mortal, sing again. Mine ear is much enamoured of the note, so is mine eye enthralled to thy shape, And thy fair virtue's force perforce doth move me on the first view to say, to swear, I love thee.'" I said quietly.
"'Methinks, mistress, you should have little reason for that.'" I heard. I quickly turned to the doors.
"Sebastian!" I said startled. "You seem to be enjoying your new hobby of sneaking up on me." I said, putting my hands on my hips. He made his way towards me.
"I consider it more of pastime, Miss Aviva." He said putting his hands behind his back. I laughed.
"And what can I do for you, Mister Michaelis?" I asked closing my book and putting it in my pocket.
"Well since you asked..." He said walking closer to me. "Would you assist me with the young master's dinner?" He asked looking down at me.
"I would love to, Sebastian." I said smiling. He lead me to the kitchen.
"I thought I would let you pick dinner tonight, Miss Aviva." Sebastian said taking his jacket off. I rolled my sleeves up and went to the fridge to see what we have.
"How long do we have, Sebastian?" I said still looking in the fridge.
"Approximately two and a half hours." He said appearing behind me.
"Hm. Dinner will be a little late then." I said looking back at him. I started pulling out ingredients and setting them on the island. "Well let's get to it!" I said clapping my hands together.
