Paul came into the room soon after Ryan exited.
“Where’s Ryan?” Paul asked.
“He needed some air” I replied upset.
Just then the nurse came in and said that I was all better and discharged me from the hospital. I got off the bed and went out the door to find Ryan. Paul followed behind.
We went out the front of the hospital, thinking he would be there and we were wrong. We searched around for a few minutes but he was nowhere to be seen. I’m just an unlucky charm. Everything and everyone round me gets hurt from my actions.
Then a nurse came running towards us with a panicked expression. “Are you with Ryan Jackson?” she asked us
“Yes why?” Paul replied puzzled.
“Come with me” she said walking really quickly through the hospital doors.
We followed her worried and she took us to the A&E department and she led us to a room.
“He’s in there” she said out of breath.
We both looked through the thin rectangular window in the door and saw Ryan lying in a hospital bed with many machines hocked up to him and a bandage around his head.
“What happened?” I asked the nurse
“We found him outside on the floor. He got hit by an incoming ambulance” the nurse said panicking.
“Is he okay?” I asked with no hesitation
“From what we can see, he had a broken leg and a bad head injury. The doctors are going to do some tests on him now so there is a waiting room around the corner and we will call you up when we know what’s wrong” the nurse said calmly. She tried to calm us down by not panicking herself.
“Okay, thank you” Paul said as he started directing me in to the waiting room.
We were waiting for a few hours in that room where we were surrounded by a range of people. There were old people to young people, fat people to thin people and tall people to small people. They all had a scared look on their faces.
I hate hospitals. They give me the creeps. I used to come to the hospital quite a lot when I was really young as I used to have something wrong with my lung. I was born with it and they said that they had treated it when I was 5 but when I was 6 I had to come back into the hospital because it started to fail so I had to have a lung transplant. It’s never really been the same since, but I can’t say I have had a problem with it. Yet…
Then the nurse came into the room.
“Ryan Jackson” The nurse called.
We instantly stood up and looked at her. She hinted with her head for us to go and follow her into the room to go and see Ryan.
