"Mom how did you find me?" I said getting up off of Teddys couch.

Teddy let my mom on in.

She walked towards me slowly.

"Mom are you okay?" I asked.

"I just wanted to tell you something before it's too late." She said.

"Ima just go to the back and let y'all talk" Teddy said

"No baby, this won't take long, besides your her friend and she is really gonna need you for what I have to tell her" my mom said

"Mom what do you MEAN?" I said starting to shake.

"Baby, mommy is dying. I'm in my last stage of cancer. I am in the U.S. for a reason. I have been sick for 2 years now, and I came here to get treatment because the operations are better." She said.

I was in shock. My heart started beating fast.
A tear rolled down my face.

"Ma why didn't you tell me? Mom what about my siblings In Columbia they need you, I need you , your my mother no matter how much we fuss and fight. I love you" I said crying

"I love you too. I want you to bring your siblings here, I know you can, you are such a responsible young woman and you are so stable to be so young, forgive me for all the wrong that I've done to you. I'm sorry" she said.

She started to step back and then she collapsed and fell to the floor.

"NOOOOO MOMMMMM NOOOO!" I screamed crying.

Teddy ran to my mom as she was laying on the floor.

I was holding her head while crying.

"Teddy will she be okay?" I screamed.

A tear rolled down Teddy's cheek.

"Stay.... she has no pulse, she's gone." Teddy said.

I started crying from the roots of my lungs.

I lost it , I could barely breath.

Everything I said to my mom I fuckin regret! I wish I would've knew she was sick. We argued so much that she thought I would not care but I do.

I'll never forgive myself.

1 MONTH LATER....

After the loss of my mother I battled to get my siblings here in the U.S.

It was so hard. I had to deal with paper work, attorneys and more. It was too much.

Even though my siblings back in Columbia is not my dad children he's been standing by my side to get them here.

It's been a month since my mom passed and I was still living with teddy. He's been my biggest support system.

Today he had to work so I was at his apartment alone today.

I needed that alone time.

As I was scrolling thru my laptop I checked my bank account.
I only had $3,000 in my bank account.

See to me $3,000 is not nothing to me because I made more than that in one night when I used to sleep with guys.

"I guess I gotta find me a real job" I mumbled under my breath.

A few hours passed and Teddy had made it back.

I had fell asleep.

"STAY!!!!! Get up bitch!!!" Teddy yelled shaking me to wake up.

"Huh???" I said barely opening my eyes.

"GUESS WHO CAME TO MY JOB?" He said

"Who?" I said sitting up

"Darnell." He said rolling his eyes

"Why?" I asked

"I don't know, but he said he needs to talk to you." Teddy said

"He's full of shit." I said

"He acted like it was urgent. But fuck him" Teddy said

I thought to myself for a split second.

"Ok I'll talk to him" I said

"Bitch is you dumb or DUMB?" Teddy said

"I know what I'm doing." I said

"Ok now bitch but best believe I'm going with you." Teddy said.

I decided to take Darnell up on his offer. Maybe we should talk and get this closure.
