Chapter 5 The stare

Opal's POV
It had been at least 2 days after I had been registered to Yellow Diamond now. I mostly followed her around with Yellow Pearl. Today Yellow had a meeting with White Diamond and we were aloud to be there too.

As we were walking close behind Yellow Diamond I got many glares from passing gems, they seemed very confused that I was walking with Yellow. Some even gave me a threatening glares too. After all she wasn't really my diamond Blue Diamond was. There was one gem that had a threatening glare at me that was way to intensely and Yellow Diamond had taken notice of this so she steeped in between me and the gem. Her threatening glare turned to a scared one when Yellow appears in front of her. She panicked and did the diamond pose.Yellow only ignored her and glared daggers in the gem when Yellow spoke.
-Why were you staring at the Opal for.

She said in a strict yet an angry voice, the gem had glanced at me some times before looking at up at Yellow again.
-I-I... I'm sorry my luminous diamond it's just I was surprised for you to have a Opal around you. This Opal isn't even a fusion and she is partly useless and don't have any use for any diamond especially you my diamond.

The gem told her as she rose her voice slightly as her words stumble from her throat. Yellow face palmed and put her hand on her face rubbing the bridge of her nose in annoyance and were angry at the gem.
-That is absolutely none of your business, you are just a simple quartz and you seem to questioning my authorities and leadership to why I have a Opal next to me.

Yellow said in an annoyed voice as she were rising her voice at some words as she awaited impatiently to the gem to answer.Yellow looked at the gem with a angry glare, scaring the gem so bad we saw beads of sweat emerging on her face. The gem shook her had afraid for the diamond to shatter her. I looked at Yellow Pearl and she only grinned knowing the gem was going to be punished for questioning Yellow Diamond.
-N-no my diamond, I didn't meant it like that. I was just curious...

The gem stuttered keeping her gaze at Yellow as she spoke. Yellow Diamond only sighed deeply and just waved the gem off. But before the gem had started walking away Yellow Diamond spoke.
-Never question me again.

She said with a serious tone hinting a sense of anger in it and the gem nodded hurriedly walking away from us. Yellow then looked at me concerned. I looked up at her and smiled gently at her.
-Are you okey Opal...

She said in a soft voice letting me know that she cared. I chuckled slightly and nodded.
-I am good now, thanks for asking my diamond.

Her concerned face faded and she smiled at me and Yellow Pearl.
-Well, lets continue our walking then.

Yellow told us as her voice were soft and kind again before she turned around and began walking. Me and Pearl looked at each other and smile as we began following the diamond once again as we began walking closer to White Diamond's chambers.

When we reached the big white door leading to White's chamber the door opened and we followed Yellow as she went inside. White Pearl then closed the door behind us as White Diamond began to speak.
-It's nice seeing you again sunshine and you too dear Opal.

She said towards me and Yellow Diamond, Yellow Pearl didn't get greeted and she only huffed quietly for not being noticed by White Diamond at all. I chuckled slightly and did the  diamond pose towards White. White responded with a smile and looked back at Yellow as they began talking about their colonies and such.

Me and Yellow pearl sat down and began chatting for a couple of minutes until I heard movement coming towards us from behind. I looked behind me and jumped slightly at the sudden appearance from White Diamond. She had put down her hands wanting me to step on it, so that was what I did. She lifted her hand up with me in it having her other hand close, not wanting me to fall. She sat down on her throne again as she spoke.
-I took care of the gem that hurt you sweet Opal.
