Chapter 15 What am I?

Opal's POV
-What happened?

I asked yellow with a shocked face, what happened, who am I , why were I so different, all these question were popping in my mind as each second passed. I were so confused.

I were beginning to have a panic attack as I felt my breath getting faster and faster.Yellow noticed this and she stood up from her throne walking towards me in calming steps. She wrapped her arms around me in a tight warm hug. Her embrace were shocking at first but I felt myself quickly calming down. My body has relaxed and my panic attack disappeared quickly making it seem like it never had happened.

I placed my cheek softly at Yellows shoulder and closed me eyes as she had put her head between my neck and shoulder.

I felt something drip on my shoulder and my back. I raised my head up from Yellow's shoulder seeing tears running down Yellow's cheeks. My worry went high and I cupped Yellow's face. It broke my heart too see her cry like this.
-I-I were so worried, I t-though you wouldn't make i-it.

Yellow said to me between sobs. I wrapped my arms around Yellows neck and hugged her in a comforting hug.I could feel Yellow's arms around my waist tighten. She snuggled her face in my hair and I could feel her soft yet hitched breathing hit my skin.
-I'm fine Yellow. It takes a lot more to shatter me.

I said in a cheerful voice, smiling softly at her. She looked up to face me making our eyes meet and I placed a hand on her cheek wiping away the tears on her cheek gently with my thumb. She sniffles and smiled warmly at me. I could feel my heart melt at the sight of her.
-Yeah,you're right. I shouldn't have doubted your abilities like that.

She said with a calm yet happy voice. I chuckled slightly placing once again my cheek on Yellow's shoulder wrapping my arms around her waist while humming happily.
-Yellow...

I said to her in a quite voice enjoyed every minute of our loving embrace. I felt so loved and needed, I felt like I weren't useless anymore.
-Yes Opal?

She told me in a curious voice as she had placed her head softly on mine.
-Why do I look so different, what happened and what am I?

I asked Yellow, the room went quite but soon I heard a silent sigh from Yellow as she had decided to respond to my question.
-You were close to shatter, the crack on your body would eventually near you gem and shatter you. So White gave you a part of her life aura for you to survive. Why your appearance is so different is the side effect from White's decision.You have become part Diamond and part Opal. That's who you are now....

Yellow explained to me. All this new information would take a long time for me to get used to but I guess this is my life now. I had to accept on who I had become eventually even if it took hundreds of years to get used to. I hummed softly an okey at Yellow.
-We should let the other Diamonds know you are safe and sound.

Yellow told me with a smile. I felt excitement rise, I couldn't wait to meet White and Blue and show them my new appearance. I nodded at Yellow and she grabbed my hand in hers leading me to White's chambers as Yellow had told them to meet there.

My heart were beating like it were as fast as the speed of light and I could feel a blue blush rise upon my cheeks. I never wanted to let go of Yellow's hand, it were so soft,firm and warm.
I knew I were in love with this yellow diamond in front of me. I had simply fallen so hard for her. My love for Yellow could never be put on words but one felling I could put in a word.
Warm, Yellow made me warm inside, both with happiness and love.She were like a flame that made me warm but when she were gone that fire were gone too, making me cold and lonely.
