💛Yellow Diamond and the special little gem💛

Chapter 16 The dance

Opal's POV
A lot had change after I had reformed. I had gotten my own room, it were big like White's chambers but it had a lot more colors. There were a throne and a big window in front of it showing a beautiful and now I weren't in any colony anymore. I were now helping out with the diamonds colonies and their planets. I simply just greeted new gems and looked for defected gems.

I weren't completely in the diamond authority, after all I were not a complete Diamond. But I were known and treated like a Diamond by the Homeworld gems.

I did get a pearl, she were a gift from the diamond.Her name is Lilac Pearl. She had lilac skin,lavender hair,blue eyes and her gem on her chest.

She is pretty much quite all the time but when we are alone she actually talks some words like hi or just asks me about my day.
She is very nice but shy, but that what makes her, her.

Not long ago I had been invited to be in the ballroom with the Diamonds today. They told me some information about the room, it weren't much information but I got really excited. I had never been in a ballroom before or had ever seen gems dance.So this were going to be fun.
-My diamond, it's time to head to the ballroom as the Diamonds had requested your presence in.

Lilac Pearl told me in a quiet voice, many gems told her to speak up when she were talking but I thought it were very calming and kind of soothing when gems didn't shout when they were talking I thought to myself.

I nodded at Lilac and stood up from my bluish white throne. I started walking to the exit to my room. Pearl quickly steeped ahead of me and opened the door. I walked outside my room and headed for the ballroom. We passed many gems doing the diamond pose as they had seen me and I simply smiled at them.

Me and my pearl had reached the room and I were amazed by everything. This were so new to me and I were truly amazed. I saw Yellow,White and Blue sitting in their throne and I headed towards them. When they saw me they smiled warmly at my presence and had waved to me as I waved back at them. I simply stood next to them looking at were the display were going to be at while having a faint smile on my face.

Shortly after my arrival, multiple gems came in and stood in front of us. They bowed and began dancing with each other, I could feel stars appear in my eyes as I  watched them with a slightly opened mouth. It were truly beautiful,
I never thought dancing could be this intriguing and special. I had heard about dancing once and it sounded so boring but now when I had seen it with my own eyes I were completely amazed.

I heard a chuckle next to me and I turned to look were the source of the sound came from, it were Blue. She had seen my excitement and couldn't stop chuckling. I felt so embarrassed, I had let my guard down. I pouted childishly at Blue and her chuckling became even louder then before. I could see a literal stray tear drip down her cheek because of her chuckles. She wiped it away and spoke.
-You act so much like her...like Pink.

Blue told me in a soft voice, I just smiled warmly at her and began chuckling as well. I looked at Yellow and she had been having her gaze on me all this time. I could see a dark orange hue on her cheeks and when she had noticed that my gaze was on her, she turned her face away from me.
Wait..... where....where Yellow blushing because of me I thought to myself.
Only the thought of her eyes looking at me made my own blush appear. I felt love struck.
I turned my gaze away from Yellow and the other Diamonds and gently clapped my cheeks with my hands trying to calm down my blush.It were successful and I took a deep breath and looked back at the dancing gems before us.

When the gems were done dancing they bowed once again and left the room. When they had left it were only me,the diamonds and our pearls left.

They stood up from their thrones and White and Blue had to go back to their chambers because of their work. Now it were only me and Yellow left with our pearls.

I smiled at Yellow and turned away from her ready to head back to my room until Yellow spoke out.
-Meet me at my chambers, I have to talk to you about something...

Yellow told me and I turned to face her again. I smiled warmly and nodded. Letting her know I agreed. She smiled at me and walked out of the ballroom with her pearl. Now it were only me and my pearl left. I looked down at my pearl and she looked confused.
-What do you think Yellow want to talk to you about?

My pearl said quietly while having a confused face. I looked at her and shrugged.
-I don't know,maybe she needs help with her colonies.

I told my pearl as I tried to think of why Yellow wanted to talk to me. She could have just told me now, maybe it were to important to speak out loud I thought.
-Oh, okey then...Do you want me to go with you?

Lilac told me as she stared up to face me. I smiled sweetly at her as I spoke softly to her.
-No I should be fine. You have been walking all day and it's only fair for you to take a break now and then.

I told her and she simply replied with a smile.
She waved me a bye and left to take her break, she had been working hard. She did really deserved to take it easy.

I began walking to Yellow's chambers feeling my heart beat faster and faster as I were reaching her chambers. Just thinking to be alone with Yellow made my heart skip a beat. I really do wonder what she wants to talk about I wondered to myself.

A few minutes later

I had reached Yellow's chambers and I knocked softly on the door, I could hear footsteps come closer behind the door. The door opened and it were Yellow who opened it. That's weird, isn't her pearl the one to usually open the door. Maybe she isn't around I thought.

Yellow smiled sweetly at me and backed away from the door letting me go inside. When I walked inside Yellow closed the doors and walked in front of me. She coughed softly as she wanted to say something and she seemed awfully seemed nervous. She stretched out her hand towards me and slightly looks away from me having a orange blush across her cheeks as she spoke.
-Care for a dance?

She said obviously being super nervous, I chuckled slightly and grabbed her hand in mine.
-With pleasure.

I said and her face brightened up by my answer. She wrapped one arm around my waist and the other hand held my hand holding it in the air slightly.I put my free hand around her waist and placed my cheek softly on her shoulder relaxing completely as our bodies moved into a rhythm. Two steps to the left and two to the right, a slow spin and the dance repeated itself.

I began humming in a song I learned from a couple humans. It were a slow song, a happy one.

My mind were distracted when I heard Yellow humming with me. Even if she weren't singing she sounded like a goddess. Everything about Yellow just made my heart melt, she was just so perfect,precious and kind. Having to get so close to her made me so happy. If I could I would never let go of Yellow, without her it were so dark, so lonely and with her I were so happy.

The song came to an end and our dance ended. I laughed out in a lovely bubbly laugh, happy to have danced with the one I were in love with.
-Thank you, it were nice...

I told Yellow with a warm smile showing my appreciation and love into it. I could feel my blush rise making my cheeks a deep blue. I chuckled slightly at my loving state. I looked at Yellow but something were odd about her. Not in a bad way, or I think. She has this glow in her eyes. I had never seen it before until now.
-Opal...

Yellow said with full desire in her voice. She seemed to need something but what...
That was until Yellow crashed her lips against mine into a hungry yet loving kiss...
