Chapter 34 Crash

Opal's Pov
After I had flied away in the ship I had retured back to my normal form but I held my hight short cuase I didn't want to destroy the ship, after all, it were built for smaller gems and not diamonds. I had been in this space ship for a while now, but I am soon to reach earth. I really do hope Steven can help me with whatever were wrong with me.

Cuase it would pretty much suck if he couldn't, there would be more chanses to fix me..... Right?......

I sighed at the thought and stood up to walk towards the window, but when I stood up. Something hit the ship making the impact from the outside cuase me to fall.
I landed roughly straight on my face as I face planted on the floor of the ship and I groaned out in pain. I lifted my face slowly from the floor when the ship started beeping and the lights turned red signaling code red,
-⚠ WARNING⚠ ,
there have been severe damage to the ship's protection system. Causing instant failure to start-up the turbines.

Be prepared for complete fall down

The ship said in a robotic voice,
Holy stars what in the whole diamond happened I asked myself as I slowly started getting up on my feet again.

I quickly sat down in my seat preparing for the crash, this won't be the last of me and I will be sure of that you pebble I muttered angrily.

I tightened some straps around me to make sure I wouldn't just fall out of my seat and crash into everything in the ship when the impact would happen. I looked in front of me, looking out of the window seeing that I would crash into earth. Thank the stars it weren't the wrong planet at least I thought feeling a little grin appear on my lips.

Hope you are ready for a little visit Steven I joked as the ship entered earth's atmosphere. Making the ship fall full speed towards the outskirt of the famous beach city. The ship were shaking due to the speed, it weren't supposed to go this fast. I do hope it would hold togheter I chuckled awkwardly at the thought it could explode any moment.

I saw the island getting closer and closer every second making me close my eyes shut awaiting the impact.
-Be ready for impact in,

The ship said making it the last thing I heard until the ship crashed into the island in a forceful rough impact.

The ship harshly hit the ground and slid across the grass leaving a fiery path from where the ship were before. As the ship slidded across the ground many chunks of the ship lossened and dissappear making multiple of holes on the ship.
When the ship or mostly what were left of the ship had finally stopped,
it had bedded half of itself in the dirt.

Well hehehe that wasn't that bad, right? I thought.

That was when the ship began crunching togheter making it crumble and fall apart. Many chunks of the ship hitting me, digging harshly at my skin.
-Awww come one!

I growled out because of the stinging pain. Another piece of scrap of metal digged itself harshly in my back,the pain were so unbearable it made me want to poof, but that didn't happened I only started to fall into deep unconsciousness. Why didn't my gem want to poof, where it because of the problem I had that stooped me from doing so I thought as my consciousness started to fade.

Then everything went dark...

Steven's Pov
I were walking with Connie on the beach until I saw a blue round space ship falling full speed from the sky impacting probably the other side of beach city.

When the ship hit I could see a huge explosion and lots of smoke entering the sky. I looked at Connie with a confused face and she seemed exactly as clueless and shocked as I were.
-We need to tell garnet about this.

I told Connie and she nodded with confidence as we headed back to the beach house. If there would be someone who knew what that was it would be her.

But before we could head back, Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst were already there, running towards us.
-Thank god you two are safe!
Steven, did you see were it landed.

Pearl said in a worried voice, I nodded anf pointed towards were the large puff of grey smoke came from. They nodded towards one and another and began running towards the smoke, I gave Connie a glance and shrugged. She shrugged her shoulders as well, looking just as confused.
-I guess I will have to see you later then Connie, byeeeeeee.

I said to Connie with a smile and waved her a bye as I ran after the gems. Connie stayed on the beach and waved back,
-Byeee, tell me all about it later and if something happends just call and I will be there to help!

Connie screamed back in the distence, I chuckled and gave her a last glance.
-Okeeeyyyyy!

I screamed back at her with joy as I started running with the gems once again. I can't wait to meet her again I thought.

A couple of minutes later

We had finally arrived towards the destroyed ship, I were completely beat and breathed heavily from the running.

The ship seemed completely destroyed at every angle. But one piece seemed to be okey or mostly better then the other burning parts.
When I were thinking that, one of the small parts from the ship exploded which made me shreech in fear.

Garnet stood beside me as a shield and I told her a "thanks" and she simply nodded, still having her gaze towards the ship.

Pearl and Amethyst walked closer towards the ship to investigate it, but when Pearl had looked inside she gasped. She quickly went inside leaving Amathyst, me and Garnet outside.

Only a minute or so she came back out holding Opal in her arms, horror displayed on my face as I hurried myself over to Pearl and Opal. She had multiple of cuts and bruises on her body,
I am actually surprised she hadn't proofed at all. Even Garnet couldn't stand so many hits, maybe there is something wrong with her gem that causes her not to poof I thought as I walked closer to them.

I looked at the gem but I didn't see any crack, odd. Garnet came up to me and looked down at Opal, she seemed so sad seeing Opal in this state. I even thought I saw a tear spill down her cheek, but it must have been an illusion or maybe they had become good friends I thought.
-We should head back with her, it's not safe around here and it's getting pretty dark.

Garnet said and we all nodded in agreement as we headed back home.
As we walked pearl were getting exhausted carrying Opal so Garnet took her instead not even breaking a sweat on our way back. I never noticed how much stamina she actually has, it must be from Ruby's side I thought as I felt a small smile appear on my face.

When we were back to the beach house, Garnet placed Opal softly down on the couch since that were really the only spot left that didn't feel like sleeping on bricks that weren't already taken.

Like we could put her down on my bed but then I wouldn't have anywhere to sleep and we really had no idea of how long she would be unconscious for.

But I really do hope she wakes up soon.
