Chapter 9 Strange Feelings

Opal's POV
Yellow were full distracted on her work all day. It were kinda getting boring.Not that I don't like to be in Yellow's presence, I love being with her it's that she were so busy she didn't even look or talk to me. I sighed softly letting my thoughts drift freely in my mind.

Maybe I will get the chance to know more about my current feelings towards Yellow. I had heard the humans in Pink's zoo knew a lot about feelings and the Amethysts as well. If I were to be gone for only for some hours Yellow won't notice but of course I would tell that I were leaving. I should inform Blue Diamond as I didn't want to disturb Yellow in her hard work. I began walking away from Yellow's chamber and waved a bye to Yellow Pearl and she waved back before I went outside the chamber.

I had gotten a Jasper from Yellow's colony as my bodyguard as I walked to Blue Diamond chambers. She were so very quite the whole time making the mood very awkward.

When we reached Blue's chambers I waved the Jasper of so she could go back to her duties. I then walked inside giving Blue a warm smile, she saw me and gave me a warm smile back as well.She looked happy to see me.
-What brings you to my lovely chambers Opal?

She asked me with a soft voice still holding a caring smile on her face.
-I wonder if I could have permission to go to the Human zoo.

I told her giving her a pleading look. She mumbled to herself then quickly gave up. She sighed softly and spoke.
-Sure, you may go but you will have a gem with you at all times. I don't want you to be hurt or get lost again. It would break my heart if you did.

She said to me giving me a small smile as she picked me up with her soft blue hands. I giggled and spoke.
-Thank you Blue.

I said happily to her, she looked at me with a quite look but a smile still plastered on her lips.
-Opal, may I ask what your business is in the Human zoo.

She said and I could feel heat rising my cheeks knowing my face had become a blushing mess. I couldn't tell her about the strange feelings I held for Yellow. I knew I shouldn't feel like this towards a diamond, after all I were only a Opal and my standards were nowhere near her.
-Oh I just needed some personal advice and comfort, I heard they were really good at that.

I told her as I smiled at her trying to calm my red cheeks.What I said wasn't completely a lie thought, much of what I said were true. Personal advice for my feelings and yeah the comfort to know why I felt them. I felt proud of my answer, happy that I haven't had to bring up Yellow's name as I told the truth. I hated lying especially towards the diamonds.
-Okey then. I myself have had a couple of Amethysts helping me with my problems before. They will surely help you with yours.

She told me with a bright smile. I nodded at her response happy knowing that the Amethysts could help me with these feelings inside of me. They have kept bugging me so much whenever I thought,talked or saw Yellow. I needed to have this fixed. It had been so frustrating not knowing what I felt but now I might get my answers that I had been longing for.

Blue had put me down on a ship that were going to take me to Pink's human zoo. She told me there would be a Holly Blue Agate there when I arrived to guide me to the Amethysts. I simply nodded and smiled at her as I were ready to leave. When the big blue ship had started to drive away from Homeworld we waved a goodbye to each other. Then I were by myself at the ship with some rubies to guard me.

It were so quite yet so intriguing, I could see multiple stars fly by in the speed of light shining like streaks of light in the endless space as we passed them. I could feel literally stars form my eyes as I where amazed at everything I saw that were outside the ship. Then I finally saw it, the zoo. It came closer and closer as we landed.

When the door opened on the ship I walked out with the rubies behind me. I saw a Holly Blue Agate coming towards me. That must be my guide I thought giving her a gentle smile as she were only meters away from me now. She did the diamond pose towards me and then dismissed the rubies from their work. They nodded and walked back in the ship we had just walked out of. She looked up at me and smiled.
-My luminous Opal, welcome to the human zoo and it will be a pleasure to guide you today. I will lead you directly to the Amethysts if that's what you wish.

She told me politely as her voice came out professional. I smiled and nodded at her.
-I would like that, thank you.

I said to her in a calm voice trying to sound just as professional like her. I didn't want to ruin my first chance to get friends I thought to myself. The Agate then smiled and began walking leading me to the Amethysts.

After some couple of minutes of walking and her ranting about the diamonds, me and a little about the zoo and its history in amazement. She then stopped in front of a room filled with Amethysts looking at them intense. She coughs loudly getting their attention.She only looked at them until they snickered and one of them spoke.
-Yo Holly, cat got yah tongue.

She told the blue gem that stood in front of me.
-No you guys just didn't get quite for me to speak. Now that I got your attention we have a very special Opal here. She is the diamonds personal gems so I hope you treat her well. She wants to speak to all of you.

Holly said to the Amethysts as they became dead quiet as she told them my name. They looked at me with a amazed look and they surrounded me. One of them picked me up from the ground and some of them hugged and greeted me. Oh dear stars.. this was so much to take in. I could see Holly's face turn terrified at what the Amethysts did.
-Stop that instantly!

She screamed at the gems and they became quite.She looked at me with a pleading look asking me for forgiveness for their rudeness.
-It's fine, I were just surprised. Thank you for the guide.You have permission to leave if you want.

I told her with a smile. Holly bowed and then left me and the Amethyst alone in their room. We all began chatting and laughing, enjoying the peaceful moment. Then one of them looked at me and spoke out.
-Holly told us you wanted to ask us something.

She told me and the other became curious awaiting my answer.I could feel heat rising to my cheeks and I felt my blush appearing.
-Well there is this gem I have this strange feeling to. Whenever I think,talk or meet the gem I feel tingles in my stomach, my heart thumping hard against my chest and feel warmth erupt inside of me. I don't know what it is so I wanted to ask if you guys might know what is it.

I told them shyly as I were a blushing mess looking down embarrassed. I looked up when I heard a gasps. Many of them had literally stars in their eyes and some taking their hand smushing there cheeks.
-Opal is in love!

They told me in unison. Wait..........
HOLY STARS!! I WERE IN LOVE WITH YELLOW!! I internally screamed at myself.They chuckled as they saw my shocked face. They came up towards me hugging me and supporting me that there was no bad thing to feel love. They even told me more about the feeling,the bond it held and all the sort of affection you give the person you love, like holding hands,kissing and so much more.
It felt so embarrassing talking about it.

It had become late and I had to go back before anyone worries over my disappearance again. I told them all a thank you and bye before I were guided back to the big blue ship by Holly.

I waved her a bye and she ship drifted fast away from the human zoo. This were such a great idea and I didn't regret it. I now knew my feelings and I felt more sure and complete of myself....
