Chapter 23 Back to Normal

Opal's POV
After a couple of days after I had reformed, everything had went back to normal. But now it were some changes into it. Both White and Blue knew now about mine and Yellow's relationship and they weren't mad about it. Knowing that me and Yellow could still be together made me so happy.

Yellow had also come over more and more to my chambers, not that I am complaining. I actually enjoyed her presence around me. Having her around made me feel happy and warm inside, I felt less lonely and more appreciated.

After I had reformed my mind had wandered back to Rose or Steven, I don't know what to think anymore. I didn't care anymore on who he or she was, only that she brought me back to my lover. I wanted to thank him/her for doing such deeds even though it would have shattered him/her. But I never saw the gem at all after I had reform. Even though I looked everywhere I never found him but I knew I would bump into him/her again and when that happened I will hear out her/his story. Maybe there is still a chance to stop this war between the crystal gems and Homeworld.

I told Yellow about my thoughts but she weren't exactly happy with my idea. She actually seemed mad , that I were thinking to spare the gems on Earth. I do understand why she felt like this and I do not have any grudge against that. After all the Crystal gems were the reason to why Pink Diamond shattered.

I knew it hurt to lose someone you care deeply for. I myself had a very dear friend named Ruby but she eventually got shattered when she were placed out on the war fields with the other soldier gems. It hurt like hell and back, even though it have been a couple of thousands of years after Ruby's shattering I could still feel sadness linger deep inside my gem.

I sighed deeply at the thought and closed down my hologram that I were working on. I then stood up and slowly walked towards my window looking upon Homeworld and the Homeworld gems. They looked so peaceful down there.

My gaze towards the planet were interrupted by my pearl that were panting heavily. It looked like she had been running for miles for so on end.
I looked towards her having a sweet cheeks smile.
She noticed that she had gotten my attention and she began regulate her breathing back to normal. When she had succeeded she spoke out towards me as she proceeded with doing the diamond pose while smiling gently towards me.
-My diamond, you have been requested to be in a meeting with a high ranked Citrine and a Moonstone at the north wing of the Blue diamond colony in about an hour.

My pearl told me as she had straighten her back standing in a professional stand as she were telling me this information.
I then took a deep breath out in annoyance, knowing that the north wing is about 5 miles away from my room that I were in now.
-How in the Diamond's name do we get there in time. I mean it takes about 3 to 4 hours to get there and we are supposed to be there in 1 hour. Not 2,not 3 but 1 hour.

I told her while having a stressefull expression appearing on my face but when I were to protest or complain more my pearl had spoken up interrupting me rudely but it didn't affect my feeling.
-We have been given a palanquin to travel in my diamond.

She told me as a small giggle erupted from her throat while she tried her best to clam it down, putting a hand on her mouth as she tries to silence the giggles.
-Ohhhhhhhh, that explains a lot actually.

I said leaving my mouth open in an small "O" as I had begun feeling a bit stupid. I chuckled slightly at how stressed I had become, it was actual pretty funny.
-My diamond, we need to start heading to the meeting so we won't be late.

Pearl told me in a mature voice yet I could hear her happiness linger inside of her voice even though it were faint.My pearl Lilac had been opening up to me recently, before she would be super quiet and shy but now she actually talks to me more. Knowing that she were getting comfortable around me made me very satisfied.
