Chapter 40 They Know

White Diamond's Pov
It had been a month since Opal went missing and poor Yellow had gone into an instable condition ever since.

She had locked herself in her chambers not showing the outside world a single glance, it was even worse now then Pink's shattering. I guess this were very hard for Yellow so I wouldn't force her to work for this past days.

Both me and Blue had tried to comfort the sad yellow gem in her locked chambers but she wouldn't budge.
Not long after Blue got into mourning for the gem. Both of them had a bond with the Opal and even I had taken a liking to her.

If only we knew were she was,or at least a sign that she were still alive.Everything would have been so much more peaceful if we knew at least one of those.

After all she just disappeared out of nowhere, not even a single trace to were she was. Who knows what awful things could have been done to her by now.
I really do hope she appears soon or even I will start to have an internal break down.

I sighed knowing that were way to good to be true. I were dedicated into my work trying to find the Opal, I had to help out at least a little I thought to myself as I were doing some research.

As only some days into my work something appeared on my hologram screen.A picture of Earth with a beeping red dot on one of the islands had appeared.
I looked at my pearl for answers.
-This seems to be a call from Earth my diamond.

My pearl said with an emotionless expression on her face. I looked back at the screen with wonder.

Could it be Steven? No, he would have been using his own hologram screen in his ship, right? Wait... Could this be Opal? But why would she be on Earth I thought to myself as I looked at my hologram screen intensely.

I sighed and gave it a try, I accepted the call. Seeing how my screen became bigger and showed me an area of an under water temple.

I looked at my hologram screen, looking around at the place where the call came from. Looking down I saw 3 gems staring at me, two stared at me in complete fear and shock while a familiar gem had an intense expression on her face. She looked like she were panicking.

I looked closer at the gems seeing a peridot, lapis and......

Opal....

My eyes widened with surprise, I had never really thought she were the one to call but thank the stars the precious gem weren't hurt.

But why where she in that human size again and why is she on Earth?
I thought to myself.

Opal's pov
Holy stars I were defently not ready for this, damn peridot, she just had to touch the one thing that she wasn't meant to touch I thought to myself as I felt myself panic more and more.

What would I say, what am I going to do, like what, I am not, defently not ready for this I screamed internally as I watched the diamond in front of me.

How would I tell her?!
Hi White, I'm like dying so yeah!
Yeah, no, that's not an option I thought to myself.

Peridot greeted White like a nervous wreck. Holy stars she actually did it, she did the first move I thought as I looked at Peridot with a shocked expression.

I never thought the tiniest of us three  had the balls to do it.
