Chapter 10

I stared at the expectant Oikawa. He held a smirk like he knew what I was going to say but even I didn't know what I was going to say.

I sighed after a five minute staring contest and finally broke eye contact.

"Sorry Oikawa I just remembered when we were young and all" I shrugged. It wasn't untrue but was it completely truthful? I'm not sure. Oikawa looked unconvinced.

"Look Mina it's okay you can confess it's not like I'll be mean to you. I mean I won't return your feelings obviously but it's not like I'll make it hard for you or anything y'know", i furrowed my brows in confusion.

What feelings? Oh...

It suddenly hit me. He thinks I'm romantically interested in him! I felt my blood start to boil. No no calm down maybe I can make this work. If Oikawa thinks I like him then he would be more reluctant to talk to me right? I could visit his volleyball matches to ogle at Iwaizumi and not be approached because he'll think I'm there to see him.

I kept think of all the positive benefits and suddenly I smiled.

"That's right Oikawa, I like you", I confidently said and smiled almost expectantly at him waiting for the rejection but instead I found a red faced Oikawa.

He looked so flustered like he didn't actually expect me to confess?

"I-I-I -wait -you ... actually -l-like me?", he laughed nervously and then backed away still facing me. He opened the class room door and left.

I heard him running away and then I heard a scream.

"Iwa-chan!!!" I winced. He didn't have to scream so loud.

I couldn't help but feel annoyed. Oikawa might actually be my love rival.
