Rissa's Pov
We stay wrapped in each other's arms for a little while longer until finally we decide that we should make our appearance downstairs.
As we leave the room the house is quiet. What are Hayden and Jess up to downstairs?
We head down the stairs, holding hands like schoolkids on the first date. No one's in the lounge, and I look at Jase confused. "Where are they?" he voices both our thoughts.
Wait. I hear something. We look at each other before heading towards the kitchen where we can hear low voices.
I don't know what we were expecting but I don't think either of us were expecting or ready to find Hayden and Jessica inches away from each other.
But what was even more surprising was the fact that they were so lost in each other that they never hear us enter. Jason clears his throat and the spoon in Hayden's hand drops in shock.
They jump away from each other looking over at us in surprise. "It's not what it looks like," Hayden says defensively. The blush on Jess's face is all that's needed to prove him wrong.
I can't help the laugh that escapes me as I think about how funny this situation is. Here we are all over 20 and these two are acting like teenagers in high school who just got caught by their parents.
Hayden looks up at me when he heard my laugh and a smile graces his face as he looks over at an equally smiling Jess who is looking at our hands that I still together between us.
"I take it that everything's good between you two," Jess states happily. Jase looks down at me, kissing my forehead before replying, "Everything's perfect between us."
Hayden comes over to me giving me a tight hug. "I told you everything would work out between you two. It's so good to see you smile and laugh again Ris. I'm going to miss having a roommate though," he says softly before laughing at the end.
I laugh in reply, before whispering back, "Thank you for everything Hayden. I really appreciate everything you've done for me. And don't worry. It seems like you found someone else to keep you busy til Hailey gets back." He just smiles sheepishly at me before looking over at Jess. Yep, there's definitely something going on there.
We pull away and I see Jase and Jess are busy having a quiet conversation. I can't help the yawn that escapes me. It's been days since I've had a full night's sleep and I just want to get home so I can spend some time with my love.
"Jase, can we go home please,"I say going back to him once he's done with Jess. He smiles in reply,"Of course Princess. Uh, the only thing is that Jess came with me so we have to drop her home first."
"I can drop her off," Hayden blurts out. "I mean if that's okay with you, Jess, then I can," he says sheepishly. I try to hide my smirk.
"I mean, yeah, I'm cool with that plan," Jess says. "I guess that settles it then. Come on princess, let's go then," Jase says.
I run up and grab my phone and bag before we say our goodbyes and off we go back home.

Jason pulls into our driveway and I feel like I'm finally home. Even though it's only been 5 days it feels like it's been months since I've seen this place. I grab my things getting out as he unlocks the front door. I walk in and see the familiar surroundings.
The only thing that's different is that there's bedding on the sofa. I walk through the passage to mind and Jason's room and place my stuff on my headboard. The bed looks exactly as I had left it last Friday. Even my books that were on the bed are stoll there.
How did he sleep with all this stuff here? I hear footsteps and look up to see that Jason had followed me into the room but in his hands are is the bedding from the sofa. I look at him questioning not sure how to ask him.
He sighs putting down the bedding. "I couldn't really sleep with you gone. Especially not in this room without you. I slept on the couch. Well if the few hours a night counts as sleeping."
I guess I wasn't the only one having restless nights. I open my mouth to reply but all that comes out is a yawn. A soft smile grace's his face as he walks over to me, kissing me forehead. "Don't worry about all that now. It's in the past. I'll be right back," he says before heading over to the bathroom, grabbing his sweatpants.
I can't help the smile that makes its way onto my face as I get something to change into. Hailey had left some really nice clothes behind that I borrowed but it's good to have my clothes back. It's good to be back home.
I change and make our bed, putting away the extra bedding that Jason had been using. I'm about to get it bed when Jason walks back in, tossing his used clothes in the laundry basket.
I can see him trying to stifle a yawn. He looks as tired as I feel, if not more. He looks over at me and catching me watching me I try to look away but it's too late. He walks over to me confidently and looking very sexy.
His mouth opens to stay something but whatever it is will have to wait. I shoot into his arms, kissing him again. It's been 5 days without his hugs and kisses. It's been 5 days without my love and I'm so relieved that we're okay now.
Soon our kissing leads to a full on make out session on the bed, but we quickly fall asleep in each other's arms. I could say being back home is great, but I wouldn't be talking about this house.
Here in Jason's arms, feeling safe and content there's no place I'd rather be. They say home is where the heart is, and Jason is my home.
