"Luce!" I hear Becca yell.
I groan and roll over on my bed and pull the thick blanket over my head.
"LUCE!" She yells.
"What?" I yell back still under the blankets. I really don't want to get up right now.
It's the same every morning. Becca runs half an hour every morning and she'd yell for me to do the same.
"Are you getting up or not?!" She yelled banging on my door.
"Go away!" I screamed back.
And eventually she did, when she was sure I was not gonna come out no matter how much she banged my door.
I woke up around eight since I had ten o clock classes of my first year masters degree and given that mid terms near the door, I could rarely but miss a class.
I showered and got dressed in a huge grey sweater and my leggings before shoving my book in to my book bag and walking out of the room.
Becca was sitting on the sofa and sorting through the mail's.
They were bills so I ignored them and went to the kitchen to grab a bite.
"Hey Luce?" She asks.
"Huh?" I say. "Where is the bread?"
"Do you know any person called Ro...Rosaline DeMarco?"
I stop.
"It says here it's for you."
And here I thought I could hide!?
"Leave it on the table." I say grabbing a bottle of orange juice and closing the fridge. "You don't have classes?" I asks.
Becca shrugs.
We still shared the same apartment that we occupied earlier.
I still don't have a car.
I still walk to school.
And the girl's home is like a three minute walk away from the campus so its all walking distance.
It doesn't bother me anymore.
I am used to it.
I am used to walking. To rain.
To cold.
To not feeling anything.
It's peace.
It hurts less than to think about bad stuff that happened.
And I am not a fan of talking about it.
So that's why the rule of our home was not to ask any question when someone comes for help.
And I focused on just that.
Helping girls who had been hurt.
And in case you're thinking what a stupid girl. Saw her boyfriend almost fucking a girl so she runs and gets a abandoned building with a strange oath to save people.
