~Lily~
We moved quickly into the hospital wing and stopped suddenly when we saw Dumbledore standing over her bed whispering softly. He turned slowly and smiled when he saw us.
"Ahh yes, I was wondering when you would all arrive, please, take a seat" he pointed at the four chairs sitting across from him.
I nodded slowly as James and Sirius moved over to the chairs before Remus and I joined them.
"Now I'm sure you've heard what's happened, as you seem to get the news before I do" He smiled brightly but it didn't have the same twinkle in his eyes, "We have checked the cuts and we are sure that they are in no way fatal to her but we are still unsure of their causes. They seem to have appeared at random"
"What's going to happen? Is she ok?" Sirius babbled, moving towards her but Dumbledore pushed him back.
"We don't know what's caused these bruises and we want to make sure that no one else is in harms way. This means no late night visits for the next few weeks" He said sternly, eyeing Sirius and James in particular and I glowered momentarily at them, partially because they had not told me about it and partially because they were out of bed after dark.
"Bu-"
Not buts, from any of you, this is final, and I'm sorry to say it but I will not be changing my mind" Dumbledore's stern blue gaze never faltered as he flitted them across each of us, "Now, I must unfortunately ask you to please return to classes for the moment, I hear you have examinations coming very soon"

"This is bullshit!" Sirius grumbled loudly, plonking himself in front of the fire, deliberately blocking everyone elses heat. The sun had faded and so had the warmth that was flitting through the air, causing the commonroom to rug up into blankets and woolley jumpers which were oviously sent from parents.
"Screw it, I'm gunna go"
"Sirius you can't!"
"And who the hell is gunna stop me?"
"Oh I dunno, maybe ummm- Dumbledore? You twat" James rolled his eyes at
Sirius' pout and pulled me in closer.
"She's in good hands Sirius" Remus spoke for the first time all afternoon and we all looked up at his sunken eyes. His body seemed to have taken the late nights and stress the hardest, his eyes darkening around the edges and his face pale. It wasn't helped by the full moon coming up in the next week.
There was a pause.
"Well, yeah... I know" Sirius seemed to be subdued by Remus' words, moving back in towards the fire.

The afternoon seemed to play in fast forward, Remus working on his two essays which weren't actually on the syllabus, James ranting about potion, hoping I would spread some of my apparent 'wisdom' and Peter biting ferverently on his now saliva soaked pen as he walked into the commonroom and silently joined us. Sirius never moving.
