Never Ending Surprises (Marauders era love story)

Hangovers

I kissed him back for a minute, though I knew it didn't mean anything. For one, he was drunk out of his mind, and I knew he was ridiculously in love with Lily. There was also no part of me that really saw him as anything but a friend (perhaps best friend after this kiss). I pulled back, cracking up when he stumbled forwards and I caught him. 

"Geez you are heavy for a scrawny git," I said as I slowly lifted him back onto his feet, and he leant an arm around me to keep stable. I brought him slowly, and painfully, back up to our dorm. He collapsed immediately on his bed and fell asleep. Or maybe he passed out, I wasn't quite sure. I held back laughter at how awkward he looked, arms sprawled across the bed and legs entangled in sheets. Still chuckling, I changed, falling asleep curled around my covers.  

~Sirius~ 

I woke up and nearly fell out of bed. I stood up groggily and looked around to see all of the beds empty except for Prongs, who was still deeply asleep and snoring loudly. My head was pounding. I felt like I couldn't stand up straight, but slowly and clumsily I got dressed, before spraying James with water to wake him up. 

He sat up suddenly, spinning slightly in his spot.

"I feel like shit."

"Welcome to the club mate."

"Fuck, where's a headache cure when you need one."

 I shook my head laughing before hoisting him up and together we made our way out of the dorm and to breakfast. The small amount of sunlight shining down from the ceiling felt like an interrogation light feeling into my brain. 

We saw Moony and the others sitting midway down, James grinning widely at Seri for some reason. We went over and sat down, James going next to Seri and kissing her on the cheek. 

"Hey babe," he said obnoxiously, putting his arm around her. I stared at this new affection between them. She rolled her eyes and pushed his arm off. 

 "So you do remember last night then," she said, grinning over at me. 

"Why wouldn't we?" I said, confused and forgetting James's weird behaviour for a moment 

"Wait you don't know?" She stared before giving a look to Moony and cracking up, Wormtail looking as lost as always.  

"What?" Prongs and I said in unison 

"Well last night you sort of, well" Moony started before waving his hand at Seri to continue. 

"Well, you were off your tits last night, I'm pretty sure Sirius strip-teased the Fat Lady at some point"

Sirius looked very uncomfortable and James burst out laughing. 

"Yes, don't worry, I wasn't planning on planting that smooch on ya"

"No harm, no foul" Seri grinned back at him, shaking her head as she grabbed her breakfast.

"What?" I said, very surprised, "You kissed her? What did she do?" 

"She has a name—"Seri started but James cut her off, 

"She definitely kissed back," He said grinning, 

"Right," Seri said very sarcastically, but her cheeks were slightly red. 

"Anyway it meant nothing obviously" 

"What disappointed?" James said conceitedly and she rolled her eyes, "bet it pushed all of your other records of the charts" 

"It probably wouldn't have if I actually had any" she muttered before her eyes widened in the realisation of what she had just said.
