Chapter 5: The Truth

Jin waits patiently for Mina as the final bell rings. As he stands at the gate, a sudden vision comes to his mind. Several men will come out in a black van and abduct him and Mina. Jin sighs in annoyance as he starts running for it. Mina walks out the gate and notices that Jin isn't there. She waits for him, not knowing he ran away.

Jin continues to glance in the future as the black van continues to follow him. He feels a sudden chill and before he can react, the floor freezes and he falls to the ground. Jin quickly stands and swings at the woman but fire blast knocks him to the wall. Jin coughs in pain as the two approach him. Jin mutters, "Jennie? Jaebeom?" The black van catches up and they take him in. 

They do not restrain him which confuses Jin. He notices that Jennie keeps the same facial expression throughout the ride and Jaebeom falls asleep. They soon arrive to a massive building with the initials "YGI" on the top. The two guide him to the main office in the highest floor. The three stand in front of a desk and reveals a man behind him. He looks like a shark. The guy introduces himself, "I'm YG. Leader of YG incorporated." Jin bows and says, "Sup."

YG chuckles and says, "I finally found you. Star child." Jin looks at him confused and says, "Star child? You're not my dad." YG laughs and says, "Technically, I am. Lock him up, we'll take over once we get the moon child." Jennie nods and Jaebeom leads Jin to a closed room. He follows reluctantly as the thought of his classmates abducting him was still shocking.

Meanwhile, Mina waits for hours in front of the school gate. She facepalms in her mind as she should've asked for his number. Raindrops start to pour and Mina realizes that she's just been stood up. A voice behind her says, "He's not coming." Mina turns and questions, "Jimin? What are you doing here?"

He says, "I was studying at the library and I lost track of time." Jimin soon notices Mina's disappointed mood and says, "It's not like Jin to stand up pretty girls, I guess he had an emergency. Have dinner with me instead." Mina looks at him and says, "Really?" Jimin says cooly, "I'm not busy and I'm hungry. Let's go." She follows him as they walk through the night sky. The rain cleared up quickly and the clouds vanished as the night sky shone brightly. Jimin looks up and says, "The moon is beautiful today." Mina looks up and nods in agreement.

They end up in a restaurant and sit down. After receiving their food, they start to barrage each other with questions. Mina begins, "How did you and Jin meet?" Jimin says, "It was a long time ago. I don't remember exactly but I do remember that we had no parents. Jin is actually older and we kind of grew up together." Jimin then asks, "How about you? How come no one has ever heard of you before today?" She says, "Well, I don't really need to go to school so I spent most of my time at my house." He asks, "Sounds boring." Mina replies, "Not really. I played a lot video games, read books, watched tv shows and movies, and swam in the indoor pool. It was heaven."

Jimin's jaw drop and he says, "Sounds like heaven. Why did you start going to school when you had all that at home?" Mina says, "Chaeyoung convinced me to tryout one year." He asks, "How's your year so far?" Mina thinks about then says, "Boring. I am meeting more people which is always a good thing, I guess." Mina then asks, "Are you preparing for the tournament? Your first opponent is a tough one."

Jimin smirks and says, "Yeah, I have a secret weapon." Mina looks at him fully interested and he whispers, "Don't tell anyone but... I have two powers!" Mina looks at him slightly disappointed and he looks at her embarrassed. Jimin says, "You aren't as surprised as I thought you would be." She asks, "Isn't it normal for some to have more than one power?" He says, "What!? No, it's super rare! No one in the school has two powers and I have to say. This one is outstanding."

She looks at him with a blank expression and he says, "You look unimpressed." Mina says, "I have two powers. My dad had like 20 powers. Stop joking with me, what's your actual secret?" He looks at her shocked and says, "You have two powers?" Mina nods and says, "Telepathy and mind control." Jimin stutters, "M-mind control?" She nods and says, "But I have to kiss the person. What's your second power?"
