Chapter 9: Parents

Jimin then walks downstairs to look for the others and notice that they left. He glances around the massive apartment as he starts to feel lonely. He gets comfortable on the couch and waits for Mina to return home.

The shining light hits his face. Jimin squints and looks around checking if Mina came home. Nothing. He sighs and starts to head to school. 

Jimin runs into Chaeyoung and Yoongi. He asks, "Have you seen Mina?" Yoongi stays quiet while Chaeyoung answers, "Oh yeah, she told me that she doesn't want to go to school anymore. She's probably at home." Yoongi looks at Chaeyoung confused and Momo joins the two.

Momo rubs her head and groans, "That must've been a crazy party, I can barely remember how I got home." Yoongi then holds Jimin by the side of his arms and says, "Want to go bowling with me later? Just us two." Jimin agrees but looks at the shorter confused. Class goes by normally and the school day ends.

Jimin meets up with Yoongi as they walk towards a bowling alley. Yoongi scans the area then tells Jimin, "Did something happen at Mina's party?" Jimin looks at him shocked and says, "Do you remember anything?" Yoongi replies, "Chaeyoung and Momo started acting weird and just walked out. It feels suspicious. I followed Chaeyoung home and Mina didn't contact us at all but she keeps insisting that Mina talked to her." 

Jimin rubs his forehead and says, "It's complicated." Yoongi glares at him and explains, "Tell me everything. Someone tried messing with my head and I need to know who." Jimin says surprised, "You too?" Yoongi then says, "A voice kept telling me to go home that night. Something is wrong and I think Mina is in danger." 

Jimin says, "Someone took her and controlled her mind. They've probably been doing it around her because of her lineage." Yoongi then says, "Which means, they're watching us." Jimin says quietly, "Don't tell Chaeyoung or anyone else but we have to find Mina. Act normal until we get something, ok?" Suddenly, a laughter can be heard behind them so the two turn.

Jimin says surprised, "Jin!?" Jin continues to laugh then says, "Wrong." Yoongi tries to fly into Jin but he dodges him despite Yoongi's super speed. Jin says, "It's useless. Moon child, come with me or else I'll hurt your friend." Yoongi chuckles and says, "Hurt me?"

A van arrives and three other people walk out. Jimin's eyes widened as the revelation shocks him. Mina, Jennie, and Jaebeom exit the vehicle and Jin says, "Moon child, this is the last warning." Yoongi stands and prepares for a fight as Jaebeom and Jennie rush him. The barrage of the extreme hot and the extreme cold does nothing to the inhuman teen. Yoongi is quick enough to put the siblings down and is face to face with Mina. Jin chuckles and says, "You're impressive, I could use you."

Jin's eyes widened as Yoongi quickly hits him with a kick. Jin groans as he falls back then says out loud, "Why can't I control you!? With Myoui in my side, every human being should be under my control." Yoongi straightens his clothes then says, "That's my secret. I'm no human." He quickly charges his laser eyes to blast Jin but Mina steps in front of him. Yoongi says, "Move out of the way."

Mina stands in front of him blocking his sight as Jennie stands behind Mina. Jennie forms a sharpened ice blade and points it at Mina's throat. Jin says, "Another step from you means the death of your friend." Yoongi groans and surrenders himself. They soon take Jimin and Yoongi in the van and transport them to another location. 

Everyone in the van remains quiet as Yoongi falls asleep as Jimin stares at him in awe. Is he really not human? His eyes then divert to Mina who's sitting across of him. Jimin stares at her eyes hoping for a reaction and he gets one. Mina's eyes close and Jin chuckles. Jimin glares at him and asks, "Are you the real Jin?" He shakes his head and says, "I'm using his body and everyone else's here. But, that was Mina's choice to close her eyes." Jimin continues to stare at the beautiful woman across of him.

The sudden stop of the van wakes Yoongi as they arrive in their location. They're escorted inside as Jimin and Yoongi are split up. 

Jimin is brought to a room and is tied to a chair. It's covered in darkness and all he can see is one lightbulb that hangs over his head. The voice says, "Welcome home." Jimin yells, "SHOW YOURSELF, YOU COWARD!" Lights start to turn one by one as the mastermind controlling his friends reveals himself.

"Vice Principal IU?" She chuckles and says, "Former vice principal." Jimin looks at her completely dumfounded and says, "But, why?"

IU summons a chair and says, "It's a long story, child. But, we have time to spare. It all started with a rivalry."

Jieun and Junho arrive at the same temple. The two exchange glares as Junho smirks and says, "You really can't stay away from me, can you?" Jieun gnarls and says, "I found this place first, back off." The temple bell rings and the two break up the commotion.

Myoui Temple. The most prestigious magical training temples in all of Asia. Thousands dreamt of training there but only a few skilled individuals were chosen. In this instance, only two. Junho and Jieun. Life long rivals who have a burning hatred for each other. Junho was older by a few years but Jieun was a prodigy so she was ahead of her age. In the age of heroes, no one remembers second place. Junho and Jieun were firm believers of this mentality.

The head monk greets the two and shows them to their living quarters. A few years passed and the training is brutal. Several near to death experiences traumatize the two but they were never the type to give up. The monks were impressed by the two and even praised them for their lifestyle and skills. However, they were not satisfied with their power. The two competed to be the strongest and they would never settle for a draw. 

5 years passed since their training started and the final test. It ended with one of them defeated on the floor. It was Jieun. She lost to her lifelong rival in the worst time possible. The monks clapped their hands as they were impressed by Junho's strength and power. Jieun stayed on the ground disappointed and on the verge of crying. To rub salt in the wound, Junho walk towards her and extended his hand to help her up.

Although it was a gesture of sportsmanship, she saw it as a mockery. Jieun swats his hand away and says, "You got lucky." Year after year, Jieun challenged Junho for a duel to reclaim the top spot but every single year, she failed. Annoyed by her losses, she lost it. Jieun left. 

Jieun travelled to China to train with the best to keep up with his strength. While Junho settled in, he was granted the title of guardian of the temple and lived a casual life. Jieun returned to Korea as she heard news of her pregnant sister.

As she makes it to the hospital room, she glances inside to see her older sister watching television with a tub of ice cream on her hand. Jieun knocks on the door then enters. She greets her sister with a hug and kiss then places her hand on the 9 month baby bump. Jieun says, "When is the father getting here, I want to meet him." Yubin roles her eyes and says, "You could have met him earlier but you're always working in China." Jieun giggles and says, "Sorry, but I'm here now. That's all that matters, right?"

Yubin says, "I guess, anyway he should be here soon. I just asked him to buy me some more ice cream." Jieun glances at the several tubs of empty ice cream. The door opens once again and Jieun turns to see the father of her niece. 

Her eyes widened as she exclaims, "Junho!?"

{Kind of a mini story, it'll explain a lot. Just hang in there :P}
