Chapter 14: Good Luck Charm

Mina opens the door of her apartment as Jimin enters with bags of food. He says, "I got some ice cream too, for later. Mint Chocolate, your favorite." She smiles back and places a peck on his cheek as she helps him move the food to the kitchen. Jimin says, "I heard your team's first match is tomorrow. You should sleep early."

She says, "I will but first, you're going to feed me and we're going to watch a movie." Jimin smiles at her and says, "You're a bit needy today." She pats his head and says, "You're my good luck charm." Jimin pouts and says, "I'm not your dog." Mina chuckles and starts to tickle his chin as he says, "Oh really? You're a good boy aren't you. Who's a good boy?"

Jimin starts to blush as he says, "I'm the good boy..." Mina smiles victorously and says, "That's right you are. Now, go relax. I'll prepare the food." Jimin back hugs her and says, "I'll help." Mina loosens his grip a little bit then turns her heels so the two are face to face. Jimin is used to this so he doesn't flinch. Mina says, "It's fine, I can-" Jimin stares into her eyes and says again, "No, I'm helping."

Mina blushes at the warmth of his breath hitting her face and says, "O-ok." Jimin smiles then backs away and starts opening the plastic bag. Mina catches her breathes and calms down to steady her heart beat then continues to prepare the food.

They soon eat as Jimin starts to feed Mina as she talks about her day. After talking for a few hours, Jimin brings up her team for the TOH. He says, "You're team is really good. Some are saying they are going to beat us." Mina smiles proudly and says, "We're well built. Just see tomorrow how good we are."

Jimin then looks at the time and says, "Ok, you're going to bed now." Mina whines and says, "It's only 10, we can watch a movie or cuddle a bit." Jimin puts the dirty dishes in the sink and says, "Nope. Go to bed, I'll join you once I finish the dishes." Mina breaks a small smile then says, "Fine~"

The next day...

Mina joins her team as Jennie briefs them once again. She says, "The plan is simple, Jin keeps looking into the future while Mina tells us through her powers. Jaebeom and I will try to finish the fight quickly and if anything goes wrong, Yoongi can deal with it."

Everyone nods as everyone enters the massive gymnasium to watch the first match.

As the names are said aloud, Yoongi complains, "Who named our group again?" Jennie looks at Jaebeom and says, "Who else?" The other team enters as Mina quickly reads the three fighter's minds.

She says, "Minatozaki Sana. Don't look into her eyes or fall for her. She'll turn you to stone." Yoongi says, "Like medusa?" Mina repeats, "Like medusa. Im Nayeon, if she bites you it's over. She'll charm you and have full control which means an instant loss." Jin says while staring, "I've already fallen for her." Jennie scolds him, "Focus."

Mina then says, "Last but not least, their ace. Bae Joohyun. Otherwise known as goddess Irene. She's smart and intimidating. She has super strength, speed, and can fly. We should try winning before fighting her."

Jaebeom steps up as he faces off against Sana. Mina tells him, "Close your eyes, Jin and I can guide you." He follows her directions and quickly launch calculated fire blasts. After hearing no response from Mina, he assumes he wins and opens his eyes. To his suprise, Sana was in front of his face only a few inches away. Jaebeom mutters, "Cute. Like a shiba inu."

Mina yells, "WHY CAN'T HE HEAR ME!" Jin says, "I think it's one of their members are blocking you out. He has to fight on his own."

Sana stares at him with wide eyes as she says confused, "Wait, this isn't working." Jaebeom stares at her equally confused and says, "Umm, I don't know why but, will you forfeit before I hurt you?" Sana looks at him in awe and says, "Aww, such a gentlemen. Fine, I'll forfeit but that's because I don't want my eyebrows burned off."

Sana simple walks off the stage as the gymnasium stays silent then breaks into cheers. Jaebeom walks back to Mina and Jin then says, "Why'd you guys not tell me she was there?" Mina fiddles her fingers and says, "I-I can't... Someone on their team is blocking the connection..."

Jaebeom sighs and says, "It's ok, Jennie should be able to beat Nayeon easily."

The second match begins as Nayeon and Jennie face off. Nayeon quickly dashes into Jennie but she is quick to reverse the maneuver as she holds Nayeon in a chokehold from the back. But soon, the chokehold turns into a backhug. Jaebeom stands from his seat and curses, "What the fuck is she doing?"

Jennie glances at her arm and notice the small bitemark as she falls in love with Nayeon. The females in the crowd start cheering loudly as Jennie stays there hugging Nayeon. Jin chuckles and tells Mina, "I thought the guys would be more excited for this one." Nayeon wins the round which means that Yoongi has to face off Joohyun.

The gymnasium silences as the battle of the gods is about to take place. Irene glares at him and says, "Suga." He replies, "Irene." The fight begins and the two have an intense stare off. Suddenly, someone in the crowd breaks the silence and yells, "YOONGI! KICK HER ASS!" Joohyun and Yoongi turn to the girl to see Chaeyoung a giant sign of Yoongi's face while cheering him loudly. He blushes in embarrassment as Joohyun says, "Cute."

Yoongi then turns to Joohyun and quickly flies into her but she holds him off with her own strength. The two throw punches at each other but it's clear that Yoongi's holding back. Joohyun smirks as she starts to take advantage of his gentlemen like attitude. She soon corners him on the edge of the stage as he uses all his might to say in. Suddenly, Yoongi uses his super speed to get behind Joohyun and blast her with his laser eyes.

The heat starts to overwhelm her and she is knocked off the stage.

The crowd cheers the loudest it has ever been as Yoongi notices that the cute girl holding the sign of his face is no longer there. He sighs in exhaustion as a body quickly jumps into him. He turns around to see a giggling Chaeyoung as she says, "You were so cool! WOW, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE NEXT MATCHES!"

Yoongi blushes as he is suddenly recharged. He pats Chaeyoung's head and says, "Glad you enjoyed it."

The rest of the matches go by quickly as they end up being complete landslides. One thing is certain, the grand finals match is one to behold.
