Chapter 23: Finale

Several years later...

Jimin enters his house as a little kid runs and hugs his leg. He glances down and says, "You're not my kid..." Ryujin runs to him, "DAAAAADDD! You're home!" He chuckles as he points at the kid who's clinging on to his leg, "Who's this?"

Ryujin says, "That's Uncle Yoongi's kid!" Jimin raises his eyebrow and says, "Yoongi? I haven't heard that name in..." To his surprise, Yoongi walks out and reveals himself. He looks just like he did in high school but several years older. Jimin tears up as he runs to give his friend a hug. Yoongi chuckles and says, "Calm down, Jimin-" He interrupts him, "CALM DOWN? Wait, kids go play outside, you can't hear this."

The kids run out to play as Jimin yells, "CALM DOWN? YOU FUCKING LEFT US WITHOUT SAYING GOOD BYE! YOU KNOW HOW HEART BROKEN WE WERE! ESPECIALLY ME! HOW COULD YOU JUST DO THAT TO ME! I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME! I'LL KILL YOU!" Yoongi looks at him confused and says, "Didn't you see the holographic message?" Jimin shakes his head and says, "Chaeyoung broke it before we got to see the message."

Ryujin and Soyeon peak at their parents' conversations as Soyeon asks, "What does fuck mean?" Ryujin says innocently, "I think it's a way of saying I love you. My mom yells it a lot when she's alone with my dad in their room." Soyeon just nods.

Yoongi's face softens as he says, "How is she?" Jimin says, "Mina's fine. She did get old and-" Yoongi interrupts, "No, I meant Chaeyoung." Jimin looks at him and says, "She cut her hair again. I think she just broke up with her long term girlfriend, Dahyun, cuz she cheated on her with Sana. Ahh, she does art now."

Yoongi giggles as he remembers his moments with Chaeyoung. The two turn their heads as they hear yelling, "MOMMMMM!" Mina giggles and says, "Ryujinie, who's this on my leg?" Before Ryujin can answer, Mina walks inside the house and glares at Yoongi. Yoongi says awkwardly, "Oh, hey-" Mina points out and says, "Get out."

Yoongi says, "I'm sorry, Mina. I-" Mina yells, "GET OUT!" Ryujin and Jimin jump in shock as she raises her voice. Yoongi sighs as he bids Jimin goodbye and takes his kid from Mina's leg. Jimin tells her, "Mina, he's-" She looks at him and he senses that he should shut up so he does. Mina says, "Jungkook and Tzuyu are coming for dinner. You should clean up." Jimin nods as he listens to wife. Happy wife, happy life.

Yoongi walks outside and by the grace of god Jihyo, he sees a very familiar face with a different hair style. He glances at Chaeyoung who now has an undercut and brown hair with blonde extensions. She notices him in the distance and rubs her eyes as she can't believe them. As soon as Chaeyoung recognizes him, she smiles but the smile turns to a frown as she notices the kid clinging onto Yoongi.

He walks towards her and she stands there waiting for him. Chaeyoung greets, "Hey, alien." He says, "Chaeyoung." She replies, "Who's the kid?" Yoongi gestures the kid to greet her and he says, "Hello, I'm Soyeon." Chaeyoung says, "She your daughter?" He nods as Chaeyoung sighs. She says, "So you came back..." Yoongi says, "I promised, I'd comeback." She looks at him confused as Yoongi says, "Ahh I forgot, you broke the message."

Chaeyoung bites her lip as he gently pushes his daughter forward and says, "Go hug your mom." She looks at him more confused and says, "Mom? I never had a baby." Yoongi says nervously, "Uhhh, the males in my species are the ones that usually get pregnant. I learned it the hard way." Soyeon hugs Chaeyoung as she says, "Hey, Soyeon. I guess, you are my daughter."

The kid looks up with wide eyes and says, "Mommy! FUCK!" Yoongi glares at her while Chaeyoung's heart softens as she feels happy seeing the little kid. She says, "You named her Soyeon?" Yoongi nods while saying, "W-why? I-is it not a good name?" Chaeyoung chuckles and says, "It suits her."

They start walking with Soyeon in between them holding their hands while Chaeyoung says, "She's really smol for her age." Yoongi chuckles and says, "She gets that from you." Chaeyoung teasingly glares at him and says, "No, it's from her fathers side." He finally asks the question that's been in his mind, "So, how are you?"
