Chapter 20: Meeting

Several years ago...

Chaeyoung runs around the backyard as her mother, Hyuna, says, "Chaengie, head inside in 30 minutes for dinner! Don't wander out!" She kid replies, "OK!" She then starts running around chasing her dog as a bright shining light engulfs the sky. Chaeyoung watches as a comet from the sky flies into the forest and as soon as impact is made, a loud explosion is heard.

Her father, Dawn, goes out to fetch Chaeyoung but she's already wandering into the forest. He curses as he chases after her.

Chaeyoung struggles to run through the thick forest but as she made it to the crash site, she notices a young boy standing up looking around. She points at the kid and says, "Hey, alien." He looks at her questionably as he starts to repeat her words, "A-alien?" Chaeyoung says, "Can you understand me?" He nods then she says, "Are you going to kidnap me and probe me?" He looks at her questionably as she says, "Can you talk?"

He replies, "Y-yeah." Chaeyoung smiles brightly and says, "My name is Chaeyoung. Do you have a name or do I get to name you?" He replies confused, "Name?" She thinks hard about it then says, "Yeah... Like something I can call you." Chaeyoung turns in a circle and notices her dad. She points at him and says, "See his name is Dawn but I call him dad because he's my dad. You call me Chaeyoung so my name is Chaeyoung." He repeats, "Dad? Chaeyoung?"

The boy thinks for a while then says, "Yoongi. My name is Yoongi." Chaeyoung smiles and says, "How cute..." Dawn then picks her up and looks at the kid confused. He asks, "Princess, who's this?" Chaeyoung says, "He's my new friend. I think he's lost." Dawn puts Chaeyoung on his back then crouches at the boy while saying, "Hey soldier, are you lost?" The little boy points at him and says, "Dad!" Dawn looks at him surprised and says, "Dad? Who's your mom? Yeeun? Seungyeon? Sorn?" Yoongi points to the sky as the three glance at the meteor shower.

He says, "They're up there."

Back to the present...

Mina knocks on Chaeyoung's front door and waits for her to answer. After a few minutes of waiting, Mina sighs and gets the secret key under the mat. She unlocks door and places the bags of food she bought for their small hang out on a table. However, Mina notices the lights in her bedroom is on which is strange because she's pretty sure Chaeyoung isn't home.

As she nears the door carefully, she suddenly hears Chaeyoung squeals, "Ahhh~" Mina's eyes widened as she kicks the door down yelling, "CHAEYOUNG ARE YOU OK!" Mina's eyes widen even more as she glances at the mostly naked Chaeyoung and Yoongi on the bed. Chaeyoung covers herself with the blanket while yelling, "MINA!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"

Mina's jaw drops as she points at the two and stutters, "Y-you two.... you were just..." Chaeyoung throws a pillow at Mina and yells, "GET OUT!"

Mina starts to blush red as the images of her best friends making love is stained onto her brain. A few minutes later, the two come out of the room fully clothed while Mina can't seem to make eye contact. Chaeyoung says quitely, "You came early..." Mina replies back equally as quiet, "Sounded like you did too..." Yoongi clears his throat and says, "Should I leave you two?"

The two girls nod in unison as Yoongi bids Mina good bye and places a peck on Chaeyoung's lips before leaving. Mina turns to Chaeyoung and smirks evilly as she says, "How long has that been going on?" Chaeyoung blushes and says shyly, "We've been meeting up weekly... For the past 3 months..." Mina gasps and says, "But... but... You two only started dating 2 months ago..."

Chaeyoung's face turns redder than a tomato as Mina looks at her completely shocked. Chaeyoung then takes the bags of food Mina brought as she sighs, "Let's just forget it. We have some movies to binge and food to eat."

Yoongi then goes to Jimin's place as the two started growing closer and closer since they first met. He notices Jimin playing video games in his living room as he asks him, "Do you not lock your door?" Jimin replies, "I told Jin to lock it before he left... Can you lock it?" Yoongi nods as he plops himself next to Jimin. Jimin throws him another controller and says, "I thought you were staying at Chaeyoung's today?"

He replies, "She's hanging out with Mina so I just left." Yoongi stays quiet while playing with Jimin and starts to make it obvious that something is wrong. He starts groaning in annoyance but Jimin tries to ignore him as he continues to play the game. But, the groans keep getting louder and louder. As the game ends, Jimin turns to him and complains, "Are you ok?"

Yoongi pouts and says, "I'm fine, it's nothing..." Jimin shrugs his shoulder and proceeds to start a new game. Yoongi continues to groan even louder and louder which makes Jimin throw his controller to the ground. He yells, "WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?" Yoongi pouts once again and says, "Well, it's my birthday today but no one seems to remember." Jimin rakes his hair back as he picks up the smashed controller and groans, "How was I supposed to know it was your birthday? You never told me, but I am down to celebrate."

Yoongi the puts the controller down as Jimin brings out his phone to call Mina. He tells Yoongi, "Did Chaeyoung forget too?" He shakes his head then Jimin asks, "So Mina forgot?" He sighs as the phone rings.

Mina answers, "Hello?"

Jimin tells her, "Did you know it's Yoongi's birthday today?"

She questions him, "Is it the 10th full moon already?"

He replies to her confused, "What?"

She replies, "Yoongi's birthday is on the 10th full moon. It's complicated but.... WAIT!"

Mina turns to Chaeyoung as Chaeyoung asks, "Who is it?" Mina points at the shorter as she accuses, "You two were having birthday sex."

Jimin chokes and says, "What?" Chaeyoung smacks Mina as she says, "That's not the point! Who is it?" She tell she, "It's Jimin. I think he wants to do something for Yoongi's birthday."

A few minutes of last minute planning then they were off to Mina's apartment for a small party with just the four of them. Mina sits down on the couch with Jimin as he says, "What were you saying over the line? Something with birthday and sex?" She points at the two and whispers, "I caught them.... It was disgusting." Jimin nods as he whispers back to her, "Your birthday is in March right?" She nods and asks back, "Why?" He sighs and says disappointed, "I should've got you that for your birthday."

Mina looks at him disgusted as she says, "You pervert!" Jimin giggles as he pulls her in a hug and says, "Shh, just let it happen."

Chaeyoung and Yoongi soon join them with the cake and ice cream in their hands. Mina then points at Yoongi and says, "Why did you want to celebrate your birthday all of a sudden? I thought you didn't like things like this." He shrugs his shoulder as Chaeyoung pecks his cheek and says, "I like it. I always wanted to throw him a birthday party. I just needed to keep a moon calendar with me." Jimin then asks, "I'm still confused about that. Do alien's celebrate their birthdays based on the moon?"

Chaeyoung and Mina looks at him totally shocked as Chaeyoung says nervously, "Alien? What nonsense are you saying now?" Mina adds, "Gawd Jimin, you're so stupid." Jimin looks at them equally confused as his feelings are hurt, "I-I thought... I thought he was an alien..." Yoongi then speaks up, "He knows. He's known for a while." The two girls sigh in relief as they sing Happy Birthday.
