Why I Loved Big Hero 6 WAYY Too Much

Some people say that they like watching happy stuff and dislike entertainment that's sad.

Well I say "BULLSHIT" to that.

You see, sadness is one of our strongest emotions. Does happiness make me want to sit in my room for days and cry? No. Does living quietly make me want to consider everything I know about life in a different light? Definitely not.

You see, this is why sadness is actually my favorite emotion to work with. It's a bit difficult to make a reader beam with happiness while reading your book. However, it's WAY harder to get a reader to cry. If you can make a reader cry for the characters, feel attached and emotionally invested enough to shed tears for them, you're obviously doing something fucking right.

This is why I liked Big Hero 6 so much: it had its funny moments, its awesome moments; but nothing stood out more to me than the sad moments. Even though I knew Tadashi was going to die(big whoop for spoilers, it's in the trailer dumbass), I still teared up a little. When the portal thing happened(not being specific here k), I legit felt a tear roll down my cheek.

I became emotionally invested in Hiro Hamada and Baymax. I felt compassion for two fictional characters and what happens to them and their loved ones.

Disney writers, you did a fucking awesome job.
