The light slowly seeped into Eddy's eyes and he groaned softly. He wanted to hold onto yesterday, hold on to all that happiness, but inexorably the morning had come and he knew it was time to open his eyes and get on with things.
He stretched out, waking Brett up in the process, and kissed him softly on the lips.
¨Hey, husband¨, he whispered.
Brett's opened his eyes and smiled. ¨Hey¨, he whispered back. ¨So, the first day of the rest of our lives, huh?¨
Eddy smiled. ¨Yeah. But it's a busy one, I'm afraid. We'll have to get up in a minute, we have shit to do.¨
¨We'll have to shoot some more videos, as well.¨, Brett answered. ¨Our back log is running out.¨
¨Yeah¨, Eddy responded. ¨And tomorrow is another double show.¨
They'd done a few double shows thus far, and although they'd enjoyed how many people wanted to see them perform, it was killer to do two concerts in a day.

Brett sighed, as he rolled on his left side and started getting up.
¨On with life, hey...¨ he said softly.
¨Yeah, for now. But I promise I will take you somewhere real nice when we get back.¨
Brett beamed at him. ¨That sounds like the best plan I've ever heard.¨
With that, he gave Eddy a quick kiss and disappeared into the bathroom.

There was no way around it, Eddy mused a few hours later when he was stood in the auditorium of the venue, his right hand leaning lightly on one of the rows of red chairs. Brett seemed like a different person.
He had been looking at him in wonder as he moved through the concert hall, as he interacted with other people, as he spoke to someone on the phone.
He couldn't remember ever seeing him so comfortable, so, he didn't have a better word for it, so 'okay'.
He quickly resolved to ask him about it later, because he was already approached by the next person, with a question about the sound.

¨How are you feeling? You seem... you seem different.¨ Eddy said, as they were both in their dressing room.
¨Oh my God, does it show that much?¨ Brett said, with a frown.
¨Well, I know you pretty well...¨ Eddy smiled. ¨Tell me about it?¨
¨I don't know, Eddy, but you're right, I feel different. It's like, when you've felt sick and then you're not sick anymore, and suddenly you realise how lovely it is to not be sick?¨
Eddy nodded.
¨Well, it's like that. I just feel... I guess I just feel like I belong somewhere now.¨, Brett said, softly.
Eddy could feel his face light up, as the smile came from deep within, and he threw his arms around Brett.
¨I'm so glad. And yes, you do belong somewhere, you belong right here...¨
He moved back a little, wondering.
¨Am I different, too?¨
Brett smiled slightly. ¨You've been getting different the whole time. It's like you've come into your own, like you're so much more confident.¨
Eddy nodded. He didn't quite know where he stood on that yet.

When they were done in the auditorium they rushed back to their hotel. Light would be running out and they had to shoot some videos.
Brett had had an awesome idea for a Valentine's special. Eddy would play Edwina again, and they would play a couple. Brett would play romantic music for his bae, and Edwina would give the music marks out of ten for romance in Eddy's falsetto voice.
In a way this video was a continuation of the fun they'd been having with it lately. They'd dropped a few hints about sexuality, about being together, but at other times they'd played it completely straight, which made the hints seem like they were just meme-ing. They'd had some good laughs off camera, and in the process they'd kept their personal lives personal.
Really, they'd found a new way of dealing with it and it had worked really well.

They set up the camera and mike, and Eddy took his shirt off, putting one towel around his torso and one on his head. He looked ridiculous, he knew, and Brett confirmed it by snorting when he saw him. It was funny already, and they hadn't even started.

They spent the whole video trying to make each other laugh, but they knew what they were doing and other than the occasional smile they kept it together.
Until a knock came on the door.
Brett snorted again.
¨House keeping!¨ he said, his eyes widening slightly.
There they were, Eddy in a state of undress with a towel on his head, and the maid had knocked on the door.
He laughed lightly, breaking character for a second, and got up to answer the door with his towel around him.
¨Can you come back later?¨ he tried in falsetto, but the maid just looked at him with surprised eyes.
¨Can you come back later?¨ he repeated, in his normal voice.
She nodded. ¨What time?¨ she asked.
¨Like four o'clock?¨ he said, and nodded at her in thanks, before closing the door and walking back to Brett, back in character already.
¨She couldn't understand me when I talked up high!¨ he squeaked.
¨You sounded so masculine there¨, Brett almost laughed.

When they rounded off the video a few minutes later Eddy already knew it would be a popular one.

He had a startling thought though, while he took the towel off his head.
¨I just realised my mother watches YouTube...¨ he said, ¨My mum's gonna see this.¨
¨That's alright¨, Brett responded in a calm, soothing voice.
And he guessed it was.

He got dressed, and on to the next video they went, shooting until the light ran out and then editing into the small hours of the night.
