I am reminded
when some
local colleges
camp out
in the commons
during lunch
I need to
apply.While my life
continues on
its hectic path
that stops
for nothing,
I spend
my afternoons
scrawling out
scholarship essays,
clicking buttons,
giving information
I didn't even know
about myself,
and answering questions.
Anything and
everything
that needs
to be
done to
apply for
college,
Mom and I do.
I spend
my nights
crying over
the stress
that comes with
trying to
find money
and a college
that will
take my
mediocre self.
