- Lam's POV -
The wind from the plane whips my hair around. Caldon used the rest of his saved-up money to buy us tickets out of The Stilts. I'm so sad to leave Tanz and my mom I didn't even cry. But I know I will cry plenty in Montfort. I can't believe I am going to the famous Free Republic! I have never even been anywhere outside The Stilts so a whole new country is mind-blowing. And better yet, my best friend and my boyfriend are coming with me!
- Caldon's POV -
L looks ecstatic. I am happy for her but also for me. I prefer the shed to a Manor but it never really felt like home. I am going on a new adventure, with my best friend and my girlfriend. It is a dream come true. I smile widely, not scared to show my feelings.
- William's POV -
I can't put it plainer: we are all very happy. I am imagining what life will be like in a whole new country. And with my two best friends! I wonder what surprises Montfort holds for us?
