"Two?" My dad asked the doctor, surprised. "Yes. You are going to have twins." He tells my mom. I can't believe that I am going to have two siblings! "What genders?" I ask the doctor. "You're lucky." He says. "One boy, one girl." "Now we'll have to chose a girl's name!" I tell my parents. "We have already thought of a few." My dad says. "What are they?" I ask, excited to hear them. "We can talk when we get home." My mom tells me.
"What are the possible female names?" I ask my parents as soon as we are home. My dad starts: "Ani, Gisa, Orsa, Coriane-" "What was that last one?" I ask, interrupting my dad. "Coriane?" He asks and gets a sad look in his eyes. "What's wrong?" I ask him, worried. "Coriane was my mother's name." I rarely went to school in The Stilts so I had barely any knowledge of the monarchs before, but I knew that my dad's mother committed suicide when he was very young. "So maybe not Coriane." I say. "I don't want you to get sad every time you see her." "No, I actually think it's a good idea." My dad says. "You won't be sad?" My mom asks him. "We need to keep her memory alive." He explains.
