- Lam's POV -
I am in a room. At least, I think I am. The darkness is so complete that it looks like I am closing my eyes. I can't even see my hand right in front of my face. There is nothing to do but sleep, so I decide to conserve my energy and give in the the tiredness creeping up on me.
- Caldon's POV -
Avria introduces us to the owner of the shack. She looks to be about 18, only 2 years older than L and I. William is one year younger, along with Avria. "This is Raylin." Avria says, waving her hand at the girl. "Here is Caldon and William." She continues, gesturing to me and then William in turn.
"I can help you." Raylin answers. Yes! Finally, someone who actually knows how to fight helping us rescue L. "On one condition." I groan. I knew there was going to be a catch. "I'm not going to tell you my ability." "So you're a newblood?" William asks, echoing my thoughts. "That's for you to decide."
"Do you know where L is?" I ask Raylin and Avria. Neither of them will be much help if we don't know where to find her. "Give me a day and I'll have her exact location." Raylin supplies. Those words both anger and surprise me. What if L is dead by then? But just one day? How will she pull that off?
