"So… you're the Spider-Man?" He nodded, holding his fried rice close to his chest.
"Yeah. And you're Shock Wave." I laughed, knowing how absurd this situation was.
"On the nose there Parker. So you saved me that night. From those thugs. You knew." He pursed his lips and nodded. "And instead of going after other criminals you came to my house to make sure I was okay." My eyes watered as I looked at him. "Peter, I owe you my life."
"It's not that big of a deal-"
"Not once but twice you have saved me. No wonder I fell for you."I stared at him as the words stuck to his brain.
"Wait did you, did you just…" I nodded gently as he understood. "Oh thank GOD I thought it was just me!"

"Okay so Ned knows about this whole…" I shook my hands around Peter, referring to his Spiderness.
"I mean yeah, he's my best friend." I held open my mouth in surprise.
"Ouch, my feelings are hurt." He laughed slightly, poking around in his box of fried rice.
"Well, what about MJ?" he swallowed the big chunk of food and set down the box on the floor.
"No, she doesn't know. It's.. it's complicated.."
"Well, I get that." I muttered, placing my container of food down next to his. I could hear a pair of feet coming down the hall. They sounded expensive and important. "Oh god…" I muttered, " is that…"
"So this is Rachel Maddex." It was him Tony Stark. He stood in an expensive suit, hair slicked back, beard carefully manicured. And talking to me.
I'm not one to fan girl, but he was awesome, though I did find many problems with his super heroing.
"That would be me.." I shifted uncomfortably under his gaze.
"Doctor Banner wanted to perform some tests before letting you go." He stated bluntly, wiping some dust off of his sleeve. "But past that, I would like to ask you on behalf of Nick Fury, to become an honorary member of the Avengers.
My eyes were wide open now, mind reeling at what he just said. "I'm sorry, what?"
"We've seen what you can do, how strong you are, and it's something special. You won't be a full on member, not going on missions, putting your life in danger every day. No. But the next time the world is gonna end, you're up. " my mouth was dry, god why was my mouth so dry?
"I- I mean… yeah?"
