"Kairi chill your shit, you're making me anxious." Roshaun told the smaller boy who was bouncing his right leg up and down at a rapid pace. (A/N because in this world him and Alvaro stay in NJ 🤧)

Kairi stopped the movement of his leg instantly and gave Roshaun a guilty smile, fixing his posture so that he was no longer slumped.

"My bad, I didn't notice."

It was seventh period; the last class of the day and Kairi's mind was on only making sure that he would leave as soon as the bell rang, planning to be the first one out of the school doors which would be easy since his entrepreneurship class was on the first floor.

That class was boring as hell anyways and they barely did anything except notes, tests, and occasional projects. So basically nothing Kairi was interested in.

Alejandro leaned over to his right and whispered in his friends ear. "You're bouncing your leg again Kai."

As if it was a reflex the boy's leg instantly stopped moving again and Kairi sighed. "Sorry Ale."

"No you're cool...but what's up with you?" Alejandro asked softly as he sat back in his seat.

The elder stayed silent for a moment before confiding in his friend. "Mattia wants me to go over to his house after school." He explained.

Alejandro looked at him, expecting for him to say more. But Kairi stayed silent, making the younger confused.

"....is that it?"

"Yes."

"Uh okay. So what's the big deal? We go over to each other's houses all the time."

"Yeah but Mattia is trying to figure out who I like and-" Kairi instantly stopped talking, thinking that he said too much.

"And..." Alejandro egged on, hoping that his best friend would finally tell him who he was crushing on.

"And....I didn't tell him." The wasian boy said before shrugging his shoulders.

"What do you mean you didn't tell him? Why not?"

"Because I didn't want him to know-" Kairi noticed that Alejandro was going to talk so he beat him to it. "-and I don't plan on letting any of you know either so don't bother." He deadpanned.

"Okay but why though?" His friend pushed, not wanting to let the topic go. Just like Mattia.

"Goddamn! It's not even that big of a deal, alright? It'll be over soon."

"It's obviously a big deal if you're acting all heated over it. You think we don't notice when you're acting different." Alejandro replies as he turned a little so he was facing Kairi.

"Look, I'm just confused alright?" Kairi ran his fingers through his brunette locks, sighing for the hundredth time today.

"Confused about what dude?" He asked exasperatedly. "Your sexuality or something?" He added, being open to anything at this point. Much to popular belief Kairi barely openly revealed how he was feeling unless it had to do with anger so when it was something else, it was a bit of a big deal.

The older boys eyes immediately widened before looking at Alejandro like he just said something offensive towards him mom. "What the fuck Ale?! I'm not gay!" He exclaimed defensively making the elders eyes widen as well.

"Okay dude! Chill the fuck out!"

Kairi groaned and banged his head on his desk, getting ready to fall asleep and ignore everyone for the rest of the class period when the bell suddenly rang. Kairi instantly got up and grabbed his bag before jumping up from his chair and zooming out of the classroom, not paying any mind to Roshaun's and Alejandro's questioning stares.
