Let's just say...the last chapter didn't age well.

"How come Jenna and Mattia are sitting over there?"

"Yeah what happened?" Roshaun asked.

Alejandro hesitantly looked over at Kairi who was sleeping beside him, the boys fluffy brunette hair threatening to touch the food that was on his lunch tray.

"Uh...I don't think our plan worked is what fucking happened." Alvaro exclaimed before running a hand through his hair in frustration.

Alejandro sighed, placing a comforting hand on the latter's shoulder. "Hey Alvaro...don't be like that....I think it turned out good."

"Don't be like that?!" The younger boy looked up at him with a bewildered look. "Did you see the way Kairi came into school today? His eyes are bloodshot, his hair is a fucking mess; the under of his eyes are basically fucking purple-"

"And who was that because of?!" Ale snapped back at him before he lowered his voice. "Mattia, Alvaro."

The younger boy just stared at him in shock and Alejandro looked around the table to see all of the others looking between them before sighing and pulling Alvaro up, dragging him to an empty hallway.

"Look Al...I'll admit that I hurt him too, and I regret it so much. But notice that ever since Kairi caught feelings for Mattia he's been nothing but sad or mad..or both, all of the time." Alejandro ran a hand through his hair in frustration before continuing.

"I don't want to sound so fucking negative about this but I want the best for them, for all of you. And I was on board with the whole Mattia and Kairi situation until I realized that Mattia is doing nothing but hurting him, Alvaro."

The latter looked at him with big eyes, sadness clear in them. "H-he's probably just confused, Ale. Just give it a bit of time-"

"And let Kai hurt in the meantime?"

Alvaro closed his mouth at that before briefly looking away.

"Yeah, we don't know what happened between them after they left but what I do know is what Kairi told me....he confessed to Mattia at your house." Alejandro said, nodding in understanding when he saw Alvaro's surprised face. "And notice how after that Mattia is sitting at a different table with Jenna."

"Again, we don't know what happened after they left but it doesn't make him look too good."

"But he's our best friend Ale. We both know that he wouldn't do that...especially not to Kairi." The younger reasoned. "Look how about I talk to Mattia about everything and you talk to Kairi so we can understand what's going on and then go from there."

Alejandro nodded before giggling.

"What?"

"I can't believe we're trying to play fucking Cupid right now."

Alvaro shrugged with a smile. "Someone has to carry this group."

"True." The latter agreed before placing an arm around the smaller boys shoulders. "If only we were this good at fucking school, holy shit."

Alvaro rolled his eyes as they started to walk back to the cafeteria. "Bitch, what do you mean "we"? I'm doing fine in school because I actually study. Maybe if you did it with me you wouldn't have a whole bunch of C's and D's."
