Mattia wanted to slam his head against every single locker that his school had.

He had really fucked up this time.

Mattia groaned for the fourteenth time since fourth period ended. Jenna was right, he was a coward. He didn't understand why he couldn't have just ran after Kairi when he stormed out of the art room as soon as the bell rang. Why he didn't just let them discuss everything in the art room.

Why he fucking decided to say silent when the boy popped off on him. He was a coward—he knew this much. Even when he still has the opportunity to just go into the cafeteria and apologize to Kairi, to explain himself and just not give a fuck about what anybody else thinks...

He heads to the field instead, keeping his head down the whole way there so that he doesn't have to see the judgmental looks being thrown his way. But honestly he probably deserved it now....he was supposed to be there for Kairi. But seeing the boy this morning it—it made him scared.

Scared of peoples opinion about him. Scared to be judged about being gay...or bi...or whatever the fuck he was—he didn't really know right now, never really taking the time to think about it. Kairi was mostly the only thing on his mind these days anyways. I should really go back and apologize.

But Mattia still kept walking forwards with no real intention of turning around. It's like two parts of his mind were fighting with each other and the one that was being rational was losing and all Mattia could do was listen to the winning side. The tall boy was now halfway across the gymnasium, quickly walking past the group of guys who were playing basketball next to the exit door.

Pushing the metal object open, he was instantly hit with the harsh wind that pushed his hair in different directions, almost like it was trying to push him back into the gym. Mattia stepped outside and let go of the door, it instantly slamming shut due to the wind. The boy started to jog over to the bleachers while putting his cold hands into his front hoodie pocket.

Even though it was cold and the breeze was blowing a little to harshly to be considered nice, he still felt more peaceful out here then inside the school. Being inside those walls felt suffocating to Mattia, out here he felt like he could finally breathe. He looked up towards the sky and took a deep inhale.

I really fucked up.

He always does this. Whenever something starts to turn sour he starts blocking everyone off, especially the ones closest to him. He does it every time. It still surprises Mattia that Kairi comes back every time as well. What if this was the last straw? Mattia suddenly thought in panic. What if he doesn't want to come back after this?

The boy chewed vigorously at his bottom lip as he thought about it.....maybe it was for the best. Kairi deserved better than him—all he ever did was hurt him. What has he ever done for Kai?

But Mattia was selfish. As if on instinct he stood up and turned to get off the bleachers when he saw a figure coming towards him. Right away he could tell it was a girl by the way her hair blew back due to the breeze. And as she came closer Mattia realized who it was, his hands that were hiding in his pocket instantly closed in a fist.

"What the hell do you want, Jenna?"

The brunette girl didn't reply, instead she softly hopped onto the bleachers and walked forward until she was face to face with her ex-boyfriend. "Can we talk?"
