"Be honest with me Kai...do you like me?"

"Wh- I- what?! No! Mattia how could- why would you..." Kairi spluttered, going on full panic mode.

The latter on watched him with raised eyebrows, waiting for the boy to calm down.

Kairi took a couple of deep breaths before speaking again. "No. I-I don't. I only see you as my best friend." He told him, trying his best to keep eye contact.

Kairi could clearly tell that Mattia thought every single word that just came out of his mouth was bullshit and it made him frustrated. Fuck him for being such a good friend.

"I don't Mattia! Just because I come out as bi-"

"That's not why I asked Kairi.....I just wanna know why you don't act the same around me." The Italian mixed boy cut him off gently.

"It's because...it's because I wanted us to stay the same." Kairi told him but was only met with a confused face.

"I thought that if I told you the truth about my sexuality and everything then you wouldn't want to act the same anymore. That you'd get distant with me." He explained further, his hands starting to play with the ends of Mattia's hoodie in nervousness.

Mattia sighed at his friends answer. "So you just decided to distant yourself from me instead?"

"Yeah..."

The younger pulled him back into a hug and Kairi instantly wrapped his legs around the boys waist, basically sitting in his lap. "Don't ever think that I'd distant myself from just because you're bi, that's fucking stupid."

Kairi nodded. "Okay." He said meekly.

To put it shortly; Mattia was feeling fucking weird. Don't get him wrong, he was more than happy that Kairi was finally able to tell him what had been going on with him but at the same time...it just seemed like something was missing. Like there was still something that needed to be said.

"Kairi...are you sure you don't like me?" He asked again and instantly heard his friend groan.

"What the hell?"

"It's just that every time I would try to get close with you, you would tense up. But if Alejandro for example did the same thing you'd be fine."

"That's because I'm more interested than Ale than you." Kairi retorted in a teasing manner.

Mattia shoved him back onto the bed and hovered over him. "Take that back." He demanded lowly.

"tAkE tHat BACk." Kairi mocked him all the while smirking.

The taller quickly wrapped his his hand around Kairi's throat, smiling in satisfactory when the boys smirk vanished. He leaned closer to his face before a smirk of his own appeared on his face. "We all know that I'm your favorite, Kai." He mumbled.

Kairi ignored Mattia's statement. "Get your hand off of me you asshole."

"Get your hand off of me you asshole!" Mattia said back in a high pitched, almost cartoon like voice. (A/N Y'all know that dumbass voice he does 💀)

Kairi couldn't help but laugh. His best friend may be rude and sometimes he doesn't realize what going to far is but he was fucking funny as hell.

"Why do you make your voice like that? You sound fucking dumb bro."

Mattia only shrugged with a smile, rubbing Kairi's neck softly with his thumb before reaching up and rubbing his lips with the same gentleness.

Kairi felt his heartbeat pick up speed as he blushed and he quickly pushed Mattia off of him while the boy was caught off guard. "You're gay."
