I'm starting to hate these parties Izad." Zafar excalimed as we entered our hotel room.
"These are important." I uttered, as he went to remove his socks.
"Hmm. Where you went after talking to client." he intirgued, Fair enough. I was the one who forced him to attend the party, our client arranged, and me escaping from their wasn't a norm.
"Poranay hisab chuta raha tha." (I was dealing with some old transactions) Zafar looked at me quizzically. I wasn't being concentrated as I was before. I couldn't.
"Did you drink there? " Zafar laughed to cover his sarcasm. I just shook my head to deny his accusation, I knew what my friend was trying to ask.
"I'll just take a quick shower. " I patted his back and strolled into bathroom. Zafar sensed some thing weird, spending years with me gave him the skill to deal with my tantrums, he was one of the very few people who knew how to handle me.
"I saw your cousin there" He yelled from outside. I looked through the mirror placed beside the shower. removing my shirt, as my eyes went to black deep scar spread on the left side of me chest, I was lost, still living those moments. I wasn't afraid to face my past, it was the only way, I could hide my own sins. "Izad? " Zafar voice was enough to get me out.
"I'm fine! " I pulled the tap, as the noise of running shower spread around. I glances myself for a few seconds before jumping in.
Taking a quick shower I joined Zafar who was watching avengers for a millionth time now, we both have been obssessed with it since our childhood. "Is she still sending pictures." Zafar asked , as I threw my phone on the other side of bed. "I'm sick of this now." I exasperated, taking a nacho from the bowl placed between us.
"Well. Marriage is not that bad." Zafar insisted
"Why don't you go for it then" I bit back, I was pissed at his constant convincing.
"I'm not ready" he finally adjusted the volume and left remote on side table.
"So I am. " Zafar, glared me but I didn't meet his eyes. I didn't want to argue on this. It was useless.
