Izad stood in front of the balcony, the cold breeze touching his face, he closed his eyes feeling the cold air against his face, the smell of air just before the rain starts smells nostalgic.

He looked behind his back, Rayna was applying red lipstick, wearing a black frock, square neck, low back and a heavy embroided duppata, he remembered every detail as if was the one instructing the tailor.
Her curled hair, rested of her back, I ad couldn't believe his eyes when he see Rayna, the girl he always dreamed of, the girl he always wanted, the girl he convinced himself he can never have, was here is front of his eyes, wearing the clothes he got for her, getting reading for him. She lived with him, shares her life with him, Izad promised one thing to himself, he is gonna live his life as Rayna wants, he surely can't afford to be a reason of her distress one more time.

Rayna turns around looks at Izad, leaning against the balcony, a ciggrate half lit between his fingers, eyes glued to her. They both got married, simply Zafar and Fatima came to be the witnesses. Both were living in a small apartment, Izad was working with Zafar, and doing a job to sustain both of them, Rayna was also working on her interior design business, things were smooth, the past haunt them sometimes, but they both have learned to deal with it. The apartment was Rayna's canvas her world, that she shared with Izad, she filled every corner with her love and emotion. The only thing left was of family, Rayna wanted to meet Izad family, but he himself don't want to see them. She just wanted to get rid of any anger they had in their heart, whatever happened was to complex, there was no way that anyone could define the right and wrong. She tried to make Izad understand that but he was too broken to even think about what happened, the bigger problem lies when he refuses to address what hurts him, she has made peace with Innaya's story, he didn't. Will he ever? She doesn't know, but sometimes he have to forgive others even if we don't want to, so that we can have peace with in ourselves.

Rayna walked towards him, her eyes gloomy, walk teasingly slow, as he stands in front of him, their faces merely away from each other, he smiled a bit, she ran her hands through his bare shirt, the scent of fresh body wash mixed with ciggrate engulfed her.

"Get ready! We'll be late" she whispered, Izad knew what she's doing. She doesn't like to go out much, but Izad wants her to do everything he can to cover all of the things she had ever missed, Every month they go to Qawali night, every year one trip, every weekend involves dinners and dates, he gets an unsettling feeling when he see her doing household chores, the way he has seen her before at Hammad's house he wouldn't let her move an inch for any household work.

"We are going baby, this isn't gonna work on me" Izad retaliated, she rolled her eyes, her demeanour changed instantly, dropping her hands, she sighed and moved away from him, he chuckled, knowing she's annoyed. "If you don't like Qawali we can do something else." Izad said, making sure that he's not doing anything against her will.

She looked down at her nails, "Nah! I like Qawali, I'm just shocked that you got extremely into it"  he got into Qawali, after the night he resonated with it and was drunk, the only good thing he got from Hammad's house, still beliving tbat it is one of the reasons he got Rayna back, seems stupid but he had made it a ritual for them, to go to qawali atleast every mont. Izad kissed her cheek lightly knowing she had makeup on, and he can't dare to  mess a women makeup.
