A pair of hands cover my eyes as I stare blankly at the sky. The sun had gone down, but the rain was still falling.

"Guess who!" a familiar voice sang, stretching the 'o' in 'who'.

I lifted one of my hands to my chin, acting as though I was actually thinking. I know who it is, but I'm willing to play along for a while.

"Hmm... Reiji?" I answered.

I heard a small snicker from behind me.

"Nope! Guess again!" the voice said without moving its hands.

"I'm wrong? Oh no! Are you... Yuzu?" I said sarcastically.

Another giggle came in response, that was then followed by a sharp gasp of irritation.

"I'm not a girl! So no! I'm not Yuzu...!" he answered, I could tell he was most likely pouting at my answer.

"Alright, alright. Hmm...how about...Sora." I tried again.

"Right you are, but next time, don't name off girls, okay! I don't sound like a girl in the slightest!" Sora exclaims, letting go of my eyes and jumping over the back of the bench to sit next to me.

"So what cha' doing out her this late?" I ask as he settles down beside me.

"Hey! That's my line!" he says with yet again, another pout.

"Actually, I was just wandering around. You know it's almost nine now, right? You should start heading home." he continues.

I look at the sky. The rain was only a soft drizzle now, but I was still soaked head to toe from earlier.

"Why were you 'wondering' in the rain?" I ask.

" Hey, answer my question!"

" You haven't asked me a question." I responded.

"Hmph! Fine then; I was walking around in the rain because I was bored- now i'm asking a question, ready!" he says overly enthusiastic.

I nod and wait for him to speak.

" What are you doing out so late?" he asks proudly.

"I was bored and had nothing else to do, so I decided-even though it may sound childish, to play in the rain. I didn't realize it was so late." I answered casually.

Sora shrugged as we fell into a pleasant silence.

"Though I suppose I should at least think about heading home..." I added, my voice losing any kind of enthusiasm it may have harbored beforehand.

"Well, if you want, we could take a walk around the city until you're ready to head back." Sora offered.

I thought for a moment, contemplating if I should. I kinda want to stay in the rain a bit longer, I doubt it will last for much longer giving the fact that it's already started to slow. Although, I suppose that would be a trivial concern since we're still going to be outside. Either way, I'll probably catch a cold from this, why did I want to play out here so much? Why do I still want to be out here? I guess it doesn't matter, but whoever figures out human desire will be a legend and a half.

"Yeah, that sounds like fun. Any place in mind?" I ask, standing up to stretch.

"I don't know... L.I.D's a way's away, so we could go there. The rain should be stopping soon, so you wanna' take a walk there?" Sora announced.

Pretty far for a walk. then again, at least I can say I did something other than sit here all night. Not a good reason to give Mom if I come home sick though. I chuckled at the thought. Now that I think about it, L.I.D's not too from our middle school.

"Okay, let's go then. We might even end up taking a lap around the school!" I respond happily, I don't want the rain to end, but at least we can stay in it until it does.

"Then let's head there first, since it's on the way! I need to pick something up from there anyway." Sora responded.

I nodded. Sora rose to his feet as we started off to the school.
