My eyes twitched, then opened. I felt a hard surface against my back. I stared ahead of me. Everything was grey. I then realized what I was looking at. I was staring at a sky. Grey clouds suffocated the blue behind them, and from them, fell water. The droplets patted my face gently. As the icy droplets rolled off my cheeks, I felt something nuzzle my arm.
I turned my head away from the sky and sat up.
"Hey there!" I said playfully, looking into golden eyes.
I pet the wolf's fur and was greeted by a familiar tongue. I smiled and gave a small, playful laugh as the animal continued. I pushed him back, at least, I think it's a 'him'.
"Do you have a clue where we are?" I asked, knowing no answer would come.
"Me neither." I continued. "Let's find out, shall we?"
I went to stand up but immediately fell back to the hard earth. I feel like I got hit by a truck. A sudden flash of memories collected in my mind.
"What the-..?"
How did we end up outside? If it weren't for the fact that I was alone with the wolf, I would think I had been knocked out and moved, but sora would never leave me alone out here without some kind of heads-up first. Besides, leaving me alone like this gives me a chance to escape. Wait, what about that hand? It picked me up and pulled me through some-kind of vortex... no, no, that was more than likely just a weird dream. Sometimes, to put people to sleep, people will throw gas into a room, and it can sometimes cause weird hallucinations...
I reached up and touched my shoulder, and found cuts lining the top layer of skin. If it was a hallucination, why would I still have these cuts? Did someone come through the window or something? But, even if it weren't a dream, then why would the wolf be beside me? If the dream is accurate, then I was the only one picked up; but, the other hand did reach through the window again, I think... But why on earth would it reach back for a dog? Why did it reach out and grab me...?
'Yuto? Did you see what happened while I was unconscious?' I asked my brother.
No response.
"Of course..." I say, completely defeated.
The wolf, sensing my distress, cuddled up to my side. I surveyed my surroundings. On either side of me were brick walls, but behind me was a fence, and ahead of me was a clear path. So, basically, an alleyway.
I hear footsteps and re-check the area. Just someone walking by, calm down. I see a large male and a smaller female walking under an umbrella. The male had a muscular build. He wore a white uniform jacket and sandals that seemed to be made of stone. He also wore a red strap on his head, covering parts of his jet black hair. The girl had pink hair, and a musical note clip attached to the lip of her collar, just like...
"Yuzu?" I whispered aloud accidentally.
She looked in my direction. Oh crap! I looked around; this has to be the cleanest ally I've ever seen; there wasn't a thing to hide behind!
"Yuya?" she said, squinting. Since it was raining, seeing into an already dark alleyway wasn't easy.
She starts walking into the ally, but stops when the creature beside me started to growl. A flash of lightning strikes from the sky, lighting not only the clouds above, but the wolf's features as he sat beside me. His golden eyes seemed to flash with the sudden strike and they gave off a slight glow as the light faded. She flinches and steps back. The male pushes her back slightly and steps in front of her.
"Yuzu, stay back!" he yelled as the wolf lunges towards him at incredible speeds.
"Stop!" I yell as I lean on an arm to hold myself up, I wish I had a bit more strength!
"Yuya?" the two said hurriedly in sync. The wolf immediately stopped his attack and returned to my side.
The rain grew stronger as the two ran towards me, the large male in front with Yuzu following close behind, umbrella bouncing behind her as she held loosely to its handle with one hand. The man raises his leg to stomp on the animal with his large sandals; They looked as though they were made of metal, or some form of concrete now that I could see them more clearly.
As he pushes his leg down to the wolf, I use the last of my strength to grab his leg and twist it to the side, causing him to fall, crashing on the cement below. But as a price, I used the last of my strength to flip him, my body couldn't handle the stress of holding myself up any longer. My arm slipped and I collapsed to the ground. He was a lot heavier than I was used to. All the guards at L.I.D were large, but man was this guy solid; he felt like a boulder! Quite the solid guy.
"Yuya!" Yuzu yelled.
"Yuya?" The man yelled as he recovered.
