I opened my eyes slowly. Where am I? The room was pitch black, guess I'd better get used to not using my eyes... I moved to sit up but fell back as a strong, chord-like item on my limbs kept me in place. Below me, a hard, metal-like sheet pressed against my back. A loud thud echoed in the darkness as I re-collided with the metal. My arms were pulled away from me by the chords. They felt thick, almost like rope, but were also smooth like plastic.

I moved my wrists slightly, testing the material. They were smooth, but not slick. Though, even if they were, they were too tight to try to slip from.

"He's awake!" a whisper exclaimed within the shadows.

"I'm not blind, you fool!" another voice retorted irritatedly.

I tried to ask who was there, but a thick cloth prevented me.

"Do you think he can see us?" a third voice asked in a hushed tone.

"Shh! He's coming!" a fourth hushed hurriedly.

As the fourth voice finished speaking, a sharp light illuminated the room. I winced as the darkness was replaced by the brightness emitting above me. A shadow crossed my face, allowing me to squint in the direction of the owner.

"It seems you're going to be just fine, unfortunately..." a man in a white doctor's coat commented, snapping his rubber gloves on as he glanced down at me.

He looked to be in his late twenties, with short black hair and seemingly glowing violet eyes.

"Now, now, now, don't scare him too much." Another person said in a reminding tone.

I shifted my gaze to the other person as my eyes adjusted to the light fully. Behind the man, a woman with long, vibrant, red hair watched me curiously; though that's not what caught my attention and captivated my gaze. It was her eyes; one was blood red, while the other was a vibrant green.

"Hello there! I hope he didn't frighten you too badly, my dear." the woman said softly as she stepped forward and placed a warm hand on my cheek.

"Now, apologize!" She snapped to the man.

He flinched slightly at her abrupt change in tone.

"Sorry." the man muttered, walking away.

She turned her gaze back to me and smiled gently. She caressed my cheek lightly as her gaze landed on my pendulum, which hung loosely around me. I stared at her; I know it's rude, but something was telling me to keep my gaze steady.

"How do you feel?"

Her eyes were so pretty. Are they really... real? Maybe contacts? No, I have crimson eyes, so having a green and red one would just be odd-..odd...Odd-Eyes!

"Odd-eyes!?" I called.

It had to be, but how? How could she be here? And human too! Wait, wasn't she and I just talking? But didn't she say that after I wake up, I'll meet the one who's causing her to be in danger of 'losing me again'? I stared at the woman with wide fearful eyes.

"How-?" She said, concerned.

"Is that you Odd-Eyes!? Why am I here!? How are you here? You were just talking to me in my head! How'd you become human!?" I yelled, struggling in my bindings, trying to escape them.

The woman was quiet, at least, until a loud pop echoed in the room. It was my bindings. I took a quick glance at the four broken straps laying on the ground, now covered in a lin snake-like wisp of black smoke. After that, I jumped up and raced to my right, the opposite side of the table than Odd-Eyes.

Taking in the scenery in an instant, the large room, now alight, had three large windows on the ceiling, a few elevator-like doors, and was covered in machinery. Not stopping to question how I broke the chords I ran forward, head down, looking at the floor.

"Yuya! Wait!" She yelled.

I didn't look, I just kept running to the closest door. As I neared one, an object slid in front of me and grabbed me in an embrace, I couldn't see who was holding me though. A sharp pain was felt in the back of my neck, just above my shoulder. My body began to feel heavy as I lost consciousness in the arms of the stranger
