The sun peered over the hill where a small bus stop rested. I hadn't slept most of the night, but even if I had, it would end up being a bad idea. After all, I have no idea where I'm truly at... but it's not too bad... Come on Yuya! Think positive! P-O-S-I-T-I-V-E! Okay, what all has happened so far, I'm sure at least one good thing happened... let's see... okay, so I'm in some kind of "other world"that or time's had another conniption fit...stop it! Find the positive! Okay, so I'm in another world where no one has any idea what's going on, I get the feeling that I'm not the only one who's starving; Zarc hasn't eaten, just like me. We have no real clue as to what might be going on, and then, on top of that, I can't find any clues on how to fix this whole mess!!
"Good job, Yuya, good job... oh how positive you can be..." I said to myself sarcastically.
From across the street I noticed a woman with yellowish blond hair, she seemed a bit distraught and worried, like she was looking for something.
"Mom...?" I whisperer as I stared at her from a distance.
She...she's alive? D-does that mean... the lady looked over to me, the same worried look etched into her pale skin. As our eyes locked her worry melted into surprise and a strong sense of happiness.
"Yuya!" she yelled dashing into the street.
As she did I double checked the area, as I did, I noticed a rather large truck approaching her. Immediately I pinpointed the location of collision. It was set to collide with her as she continued across the street without paying an ounce of attention.
I jumped into the street and pulled her towards the middle of the road. I held tight to her as both the truck and another, much smaller vehicle passed on either side of us. I looked around to make sure no cars were coming, to my luck, there wasn't. I released her from the sudden embrace and lightly slipped her hand into mine. I led her back to the sidewalk. I then set her down on the bus stop bench that, surprisingly had no people. Okay, maybe not that surprising....
Zarc watched her carefully. It's a good thing he didn't leap off the bench and follow me into the road, he might have gotten hit! But at the same time, I didn't have a chance to tell him to sit, so maybe he sensed my urgency? Maybe.
Mom's expression had turned from joy and ease to a more shocked and shaky expression, not that I blame her, she did almost get hit by a truck... Zarc continued to stare at her as she fixed her eyes on me. I'm glad he's not growling at her, he doesn't seem to mind her being near me. After a moment of staring at Zarc, he shifted his gaze to me and patted his paws on her lap, laying his head softly in her lap. Mom looked down at the animal and stroked his fur softly.
She's always been an animal lover for as long as I can remember... I stared at her as she continued to stroke Zarc's fur, taking in a few shaky breaths, trying to slow her breathing back down from the recent excursion.
"I was so worried when you didn't come home yesterday.." she said softly once she caught her breath.
Yesterday? I haven't seen her in over a year! I'm still shocked that you're here! The Genesis Omega Dragon shattered my life, shattered you, and dad! And everything ...and everything else.... I stared at her in confusion.
"Come on, let's go home." she said standing up and taking my hands into hers as she spoke.
Zarc sat up as she stood. I think I know why this city seems so ...surreal to me.... It's just like the Miami City I lived in before the Genesis Omega Dragon. Just like the city with the home that was created to keep me and my brothers safe. Just like.... the time that I'll always...be blamed for shattering.

ActionPhantom's POV: I stood up and walked over to her, lowering my hood back down to my shoulders. She stiffened completely as she realized who I was. Is she afraid? Maybe. I did pick her up and jump out a damn window without waring her... A few seconds...
