I... I don't... get it...! How can...?
"If you're Zarc, but... not Z-ARC, and you've been watching us, yet..." my mind realled aloud.
Phantom placed a hand on my shoulder, in return, I looked to him.
"I think I get it, and correct me if I'm wrong," Phantom spoke, gesturing to Zarc. "he's the original Zarc. It seems that when he was human, he made some friends who got the four cards made for him; they disappeared, and- was it the cards that took over?"
Zarc nodded.
"So the cards took over, and created some-sort of... alternate personality?" Phantom finished.
Zarc, once again, nodded.
"So... He's... like me? A counterpart?" I asked
'Yes and no. He's not a counterpart like you and the others; but also 'yes' because he is me in a sense.'
So... Oh! Okay! Me and my counterparts are one fourth of what Z-ARC was; while Z-ARC was essentially a copy of Zarc!
'Exactly.' Zarc said, a wave of slight pleasure following suite.
"There's something bugging me. If you and Z-ARC are supposed to be the same person just with a twist in personality, why are you a dog but Z-ARC was some-sort of dragonoid creature? Assuming what you say about being human is true, that doesn't make much sense, quite the species gap, wouldn't you say?"
'I can tell you more later, but in case you've forgotten, we still need to get to L.I.D. Reiji is more than likely there by now. Also, Phantom, you don't need to worry about me, so you two head over by rooftop, got?'
"You know, now that I really think about it, I've never traveled like that before, m-maybe it would be better to-" I started as Phantom nodded and grabbed my wrist, pulling me to the edge of the park.
"W-wait, don't I get a say!?"
"You said, and I quote, "If you can do it, I'm sure I'll be fine!", so you've already lost that choice, my friend"
"B-but-!" I yelled as I was pulled into the darkness of night.

ActionPhantom's POV: I stood up and walked over to her, lowering my hood back down to my shoulders. She stiffened completely as she realized who I was. Is she afraid? Maybe. I did pick her up and jump out a damn window without waring her... A few seconds...
