Mom and I walked down the street I assumed to me my old one. We walked in silence as I saw a familiar building. The glass walled, two story, white and blue house, that had been long out of memory.

We walked to the door and opened it. Mom went through first, myself following close behind. Once inside, I was quickly whisked into the kitchen just a few feet from the entrance.

Mom rummaged in the fridge as I sat down. She pulled out what looked like some kind of pancake burrito, or, maybe a sealed burger, just with pancake around it? I was more than one though; it was a plateful! All stacked into the shape of a pyramid. She then placed the entire plate into the microwave before pressing a few buttons on the appliance. Afterwards, she sat down in front of me at the table.

Her eyes were as warm as the last time I saw her, but, part of me still had doubts as to if this was really her... If so, how would she have gotten here after G.O.D? How long has she been here?

"Where did you go last night?" She asked reluctantly, worry lacing every word.

"Last night?" I asked in return.

"You left a note and didn't come back..." she answered.

Why would she ask about last night? Why not the last year !? And what's this about a note? I never left a note to anyone, at least I don't think so... Maybe she isn't the mom I used to-

"Yuya!?" a painfully familiar voice called.

I looked up to see a face that I had long hoped to face again. Sweaty and slightly out of breath as he stepped into the kitchen from the common area, I couldn't help but notice the apparent shine in his eyes, like he had finally been reunited with his child. I stand abruptly. Every cell in my body was telling me to run up to him and give him the biggest hug I ever have...but I didn't. Instead, I ran out of the kitchen, tears threatening to fall. I moved quickly up the stairs as one slid silently down my cheek. That wasn't my mom, and that wasn't my dad, no... the ones I once knew are far gone, and they will never return to me.
